Khad needs reading lessons.
And he needs to stop trying to sing. :eww:
It's kind of frustrating the way he blasts thru these levels; I think he misses a lot by not slowing down a tad & checking out each area a little more thoroughly. Still entertaining, though.

I knew he'd knock out Raoul. :cheeky:

And then he complains about the map being useless, when he could have just waited for Raul to finish his rambling and acquired a better map...

It may be an audio acceleration bug where Garrett's footsteps are too quiet to determine a type of the surface. A soundcard tries to render them to rear speakers or something alike.

I've noticed that Khad's brain has been set on "Anti-immersion mode". Everyone has probably experienced this once in a while, especially in newer games. The effect of that is that you automatically assume that everything that the devs have bothered to put in the game must serve some purpose for the player. Khad goes around basing all of his decisions on the assumption that just because a thing exists it must have a purpose.
Like for example all those fire arrows in the Lost City. They're not lying around there because you're bound to need them at some part of the level. They're lying around there because there's lava, and fire crystals naturally form in areas with high temperatures.

On the other hand; I've coined the phrase (just for myself) that there isn't a pointless room in Thief. You can either find something in it, hide yourself or hide a body.
About the fire arrows, don't you like roast bureef? :sly:

There are quieter means than fire arrows, I'm sure. :)

Oh, there are. They're pointless for Garrett, but not necessarily pointless in the world. We just don't know their purpose. The whole roofgarden area of Bafford's for example. No enemies, no items, loot or furniture, not even lights. Most of the area serves no purpose for the player, it just IS. And that's the point. Things should be able to exist in a game without the player always going: "Hmm, I wonder why that's there... Do I need it later in this LEVEL (building) in this VIDEOGAME (mission)?" If everything in a game would have a purpose, then everything in the game would always be reminding the player that it's supposed to feel and look like a videogame instead of feeling realistic. ;)

Except in newer games, that's almost universally true.
