I just opened the sun door with all the masks in place, but now the game is so choppy I can't play. I tried to tone down the video details, restart the game, restart computer, and reload mission.. but nothing seems to work. Anyone find a way to get past it?
I love the puzzles and I wanna finish!

The Dude :
You can also light the torch using the pedestal you set on fire. (That's how I did it-Fire elementals scare the shit out of me for some reason...I think it's just the sound they make.)
Absolutely fantastic mission! It took my breath away. The music, the textures, everything. I kept getting the urge to crack my bullwhip and swing across those spikes. :)
The author is blatantly obvious to me. :sly:

You could go into dromed and position yourself after the doors. Doesn't seem to mess with the objectives. I think the engine has a bottleneck (just the one?) that requires good or certain hardware to process everything quick enough. Or something computerly like that.
It's not the best suggestion, but I know it works.

I sent the author of this one an email about the flame-related lag, and (s)he sent me back a fixed gamesys file and asked me to put it up:

It looks like I made a stupid mistake with those traps - I used your NVRelayTrap to put in a slight delay between each of the three particle effects, but it looks like I got the script into an infinite loop by having activate itself after a delay.
Not sure if being able to do this is really a problem with your script or not, but you might want to bear it in mind.
Anyway, I've attached a fixed gamesys file that just does away with the delays. It should hopefully fix the lag problems, though I think those playing already might have to restart the mission - I don't know.
Could you upload it somewhere and post a link in the TTLG thread?
Thanks.
I've put up the file here:

I must admit that the more I played this one the better it got. The
180 degree puzzle
was very frustrating but once you realise what is happening (thank you Eshaktaar) it is very clever.
The
reflecting masks
were quite brilliant as was the
collapsing building
and although neither that nor the
rising water
quite worked you can't help but admire the technical wizardry of
we all know now!
Congrats to
same.
Just in case people do not realise this, you can use the fix and still play from a previous save point. Oh and the lag disappears as if by magic.
Where on earth is this sliding tile puzzle I keep reading about here?
It's behind one of those "turn around spots", the junction half way up to the light beam room. Then two times to the right.
Edit: Hey guys, I just found out, you don't need to do this sun mirror puzzle at all:
Just step close to the sun door and lean forward :sly:
Yes i know, but i didn't mention that, because it screws the mission up! Don't do it, naughty!

This is definitely the best mission of the bunch.
HOWEVER
Does it really adhere to the contest rules? In actuality...
95% of it has nothing to do with water.
I would have loved to see
More flowing water, wells, pools, water traps, etc, considering it is the "Temple of the Tides."
Maybe that's the point, making the endgame much more powerful and poignant, but the contest rules still stated each mission must have "lots of water." This mission does not.
Just a thought. :ebil:
