Finally finished this really hard, but really nice FM. I had all the crash problems. The first couple of times I thought my computer was ruined, so I decided not to play this again. But then after I read the posts, I had to finish it. The tile puzzle was very time consuming and you have to figure it out for yourself. I didn't have the last shiny star because the fire thing knocked it off into the bottom with spikes. However, I finally managed to finish without that one. It was hard getting the stars aligned. Finished them all now. Time to go vote. This one is way up there in my books.

Complete outright spoiler:
Look for sections of the ceiling that look different - there is a pattern made out of brighter patches of glyphs up there.Duh on me, I finally got it. I was looking at the shape of the figures in the gylphs, not...
the color of them!
Is there any way to stop the fire elementals? I hit one when turning around a corner (and died) and now i'm paranoid.

Then why didn't you translate the instructions on the wall?

ganac: remember The Lost City? Use water arrows.
SinisterShadow on 24/9/2006 at 09:54
That won't help much since they respawn.

Re: Fire elemental
There's only one fire elemental in the mission. Remember that it is completely deaf, and as long as it's moving away from you, it can't see you. There's a good reason why it respawns, especially on Expert.
You can easily kill the fire elementals with one stroke of your sword (as long as they aren't alarmed).
Wow, this is one of the most impressing missions I've ever played.
Great puzzles (especially for me as a German. The puzzles are international and therefore easy to understand).
Whoever made this one: THANK YOU VERY MUCH! :thumb:

thanks for those answers, but I had been in the
area with the ladder and the switch.
I guess there are some masks that are in easier places, but yet somehow have evaded me. still need three...going back in now.

There's one on a ledge over the bridge, near the big door which I overlooked until I saw it from the window near the sunlight room.
