Thanx heaps, SinisterShadow & Yandros ; never did understand what those green glyphs were about.
Anyway, I'm going in...

Just started this mission, looks good. But i am stuck right at the start. I've frobbed the glyph and it just glows, i assume this wall is meant to disappear so i can access this room to throw the lever to sector 13. I can't use the proper door cause i can't find a key or pick it. a little help? :erg: :cheeky:
Also i've found that if i switch off the light in one of the rooms an 'event' happens which does not happen if the light is on. I assume this was designed. Nice touch.

This was already mentioned earlier, so to quote myself:

Someone PMd me with the same problem yesterday. It sounds like the
gen.osm which is in the ZIP file (patched version) isn't overwriting the one you have (which is unpatched). Try opening the ZIP file, and extracting
gen.osm somewhere. Then, go to the Thief folder where you play FMs through Darkloader, rename the version of
gen.osm that's there (or copy it somewhere else as a backup), and then copy in the version from the ZIP. It should work then no problem, but you'll have to restart the mission, loading a save game won't work.
In the future, I'm going to give all script modules other than
convict.osm a custom name so this won't happen.

Oh, man...you know what was more jolting than anything else...after having completed the fm and going back to the beginning to find the remaining secrets I trigger one of those ghost sequences (you know the images from the past where hammers are screaming for their life). I totally wasn't expecting that...and I had been in that room several times before...weird...evil pc trying to scare me I bet. :ebil:

The one near the start only triggers if you've turned off the light. Since most people do that anyway to create shadows, they see it the first time through. You must have left the light on the first time through.
I'm glad to see you found the way to get back up the drop into Sector14 - I'll bet few people know it exists.
(It actually isn't available until you've destroyed the Necronymus, which was probably a lousy design decision on my part. But I wanted the loot hunters to have a way to go back searching for everything when they were otherwise done with the mission.)

When the contest is over (or maybe sooner? :)) could the author please consider providing a version in full color? Please? :)
I've actually been working on this in my spare time (when I get bored with whatever mission I'm working on). But I don't want to do just a full colour conversion alone, I want to add in the stuff I didn't have time for, like an intro cutscene and the "real" maps I had in mind, a larger crypt area, and a major change to Brother Reginald (he was originally NOT supposed to be a zombie). Besides, if it was identical to the contest version except for being full colour, most people wouldn't care to download it.

I guessed as much...I actually just happened upon it when going back...high that door is frobbable...I don't suppose sector 11 works the same, though.
A mission I have wanted to see though is retaking of old quarter where garrett helps the hammers push through hordes of undead....I don't know what it is but having allies and fighting along side them seems like so much fun...predominately when it is undead.
I remember fondly the last T3 mission where Garrett fighting alongside hammers, pagans, and even the city watch. Then there was that fm profane ascension that was awesome although I think the hammers shouldn't have been so complacement against the them and so willing to kill you.
You would think that by now garrett would be willing to help out in such an endeavor
now that he finally has accepted his destiny as a keeper (the keeper actually).
plus there must still be some looting possiblities (he had to have been scared going thru the old quarter (at least enough to not be willing to clean the place out).

So I'm late by about a year!
Anyway, finally playing this mission.
Love the feel of it, and the nice effects.
But I'm stuck near the end:
I'm near the glyph seal, but no glyphs appear on it, just a wheel of rotating effects. Have I missed something?
Yandros on 7/10/2007 at 12:38
Yes, you missed a hidden room that will allow you to get to the room where you'll open that seal. Go back to the Machine Room and look for a secret - inside there is a lever to frob to enable to "keeper poles" which would have allowed you to bypass the AI altogether. If you already did this, there should be a Keeper pole in the room with the seal already - just climb up it and you'll see what to do.

Thanks Yandros.
hehe, how dumb am I? I had found the glyph for the secret room, but never saw the room that it revealed!
and as for stuck
near end, I now find there's lot's more to do :-)
This was your entry right, Yandros?
Very, very impressive. And I do like the greyscale too.
