Garrettwannabe: You've missed something!
Have a good look around Sector 14 Machine Room.I don't see a
Sector 14 Machine Room.
On the map
Sector 14 is an overflow area.
The map is entitled Sector 15, but because you come to that Machine Room before you get to Sector 15 gateroom I foolishly assumed it was still in Sector 14.
Well, I'm stuck. Solved the glyph puzzle, it turned green, and then... nuthin'.
Argh.

What turned green? The puzzle or the glyph door below? If the center glyph of the puzzle, you did not solve it. If the glyph door, then if the script is operating normally you should be perched on a stationary camvator and cannot move. Is this correct? If not, then something is broken with a script. Maybe you don't have the latest version. Anyway, not long after the glyph door turns green
some hammerites should rush out of the glyph door.
I would try redoing the puzzle first if you have a save before that point. If that doesn't work, I would check the script files you have in your thief directory and make sure that they are current. In any case, whether or not you change a script file, you will need to reload to before the script is activated to try it again.

For me
the glyph in the center turned green, then the puzzle reset itself. On a second try it worked fine, although some of the hammers that I was helping tried to attack me instead of going into the crypt.
:)
smithpd on 23/9/2006 at 21:23
Ah, well if it is the center glyph that is green, that is a "feature". The puzzle was not solved.
And yes, john9818a, the hammerites do
mill around under you because the invisible camvator sticks down into their path. That could not be fixed in the time available. I have never actually seen them attack the player, though.
Yup, got them all on. The background behind it changed color, then nothing. Everything else in the mission has been working fine.

What I see is that immediately after the puzzle is solved the puzzle fades to black. The background of the puzzle does not change color apart from its fading to black with the rest of the puzzle. After the puzzle is black, Garrett starts talking, and after that the player is perched on a stationary camvator. I take it that you see the puzzle fade to black and nothing else. If that is the case, then I guess you must have a problem with your script files, as I said before. The script files I have in the Thief2 folder after the mission is dark-loaded are:
03/27/2000 01:01p 118,272 archer.osm
03/27/2000 01:01p 125,952 convict.osm
03/27/2000 02:02p 429,568 gen.osm
09/11/2006 02:10a 514,560 script-t2.osm
11/23/2003 03:40a 180,224 script.osm
05/11/2005 03:53p 413,184 tnhScript.osm
and a bunch of miss*.osm
You also need
11/02/2003 02:49p 131,157 darkhooks.dlx
Check your script files and dates and see how they compare.
