You didn't get the memo. He came out as pro-gay marriage in a big televised interview the day after this went down. Course he should have come to it ages ago like all the other Democratic politicians probably did.

Does this legislation outlaw civil unions as well? Since marriage has traditionally been a religious institution and religion is against gays I'm forced to admit there is an argument there whereas with civil unions the argument disappears exposing the naked predjudice in any dissent.

So yeah. It invalidates all civil unions too.

And only some churches are against gays.
