Hello All,
We are currently seeking a web site designer to put together 4 - 6 web pages which are dark, moody and will reflect the UC project.
The current website was put together in a couple of minutes and looks like a first year web designer's work which looks bad and could potentially turn people away.
We are not looking for a work of art here, just some content which can be easilly updated through any HTML editor. As a reference we are looking for something of a cross between the website for "The Well Equipped Thief" and the "Dark MOD" website itself.
Our current site ((
http://unforeseen.50webs.com)) provider's free online hosting does not provide any PHP etc. but it is free and without ads / popups of any kind. Please do not post if you require PHP unless you know of a free host that does not suffer from excessive down time or does not overload your pages with adverts / popups. (no popups are permitted, small adverts are open)
If you are interested please post some contact details and if possible locations of any online websites you have developed.
Thanks,
Kingers

Klingers, I appreciate the effort and your optimism you're putting in that Unforseen Consequences project - and the fact, well, that it will contain undead entities as well.
I like undead things.
But isn't it a bit early to put precious time in things like website design and forum administration? As you point out on your website, several steps still waiting for the team, such as artwork, modelling, mapping, architecture, video / audio and... well, testing. The latter one will surely attract many
'developers', beware...;). While I understand that a project's website can be quite important for recruiting more designers, a page with a scanty design (like the GNU project's site) can do this as well - if the exponated samples (pictures, stories etc) of the project are excellent.
Anyways, if you like the design of our
Miraculous Graveyard ((
http://zombies.net.tc) link), I would like to contribute with a decent design to a
Thief-related project.
With
zombies, of course :p.

Oh, one more thing. Yesterday, Ifound a decent comment-service (for example for the news section of the page), without the need for server side scripting such as php/cf! Here is the (
http://www.haloscan.com) link.

You know, I'd love to help you with your project. But I don't have many skills and if it's going to be like Thief3 graphics I can't test it, because I can only play Thief3 on rare occasions on a friend's computer who has a good graphics card. But if you can think of anything I can do, let me know.

[Ominous cowl] I really like the Miraculous Graveyard site and would be interested to see what you could come up with for our project.
At the moment since I have had several replies I am asking for potential designers to give a redesign of the current site ((
http://unforeseen.50webs.com)) (about 5 pages) and to then email me at:
Inline Image:
http://unforeseen.50webs.com/Resources/Email.pngI'm by no means expecting a full and beautiful site, just a proof of concept is fine. Just trying to select the best from the rest!
Also thanks for pointing out HaloScan, could save a lot of trouble!
Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with!

p.s. And the zombies didst rise from their subterranean prison, and the manfools didst run in terror (Part of a UC level which I think will peak your interest!)
[DarkElf_Mairead] You by no means need a fast machine to do web design and if you are interested, same applies to you as above.

[Potential Designers] I was fiddling with a new blogging news idea and the site may have had some 404 errors but everything is fixed now!

Think I'll leave the website design to Ominous Cowl, he seems to know more about it than me :D Good luck with your project.

I just received a preview of some work by Ominous Cowl for a new site and can say without any doubt he has got the job! :thumb:
