Bought the game yesterday.
The dialogue subtitles and the like (the small font) are sort of cut in half and unaligned so that the text is hard to read. This with the UK version with the latest mp patch, the latest official Voodoo 5 drivers (014.000.001 or somesuch), DX8.0a first edition Win98. Othervise the image quality is flawless.
The problems doesn't occur in D3D mode which runs fine on my system, so it really isn't a problem for me. I'm just wondering whats the deal. (Also the OpenGL is fuzzy, but it is experimental display mode, isn't it)

Wildass guess:
Have you turned FSAA on? Might be that.

Since someone seems to think yet another conspiracy is going on here (well, it IS a Deus Ex board) I'll confirm that the FSAA might be the cause. Make sure you pick a different kind of anti-aliasing and your text should look better.
Let us know if that works.

Hmmm... FSAA indeed seems to be the thing. Strange that it's screwed in Glide, not in Direct3D - I tought it's usually the other way around.
