And it wasn't an easy job.
I just want to ask the other players here to fill the comment section while voting.
And fill it not only with taffing praising which is nice to hear but mostly useless but also with a critique of the nuances which you don't like.

Thank you! Very nice suggestion. You can count on me when it comes to not only straight praise.

Such as?
'The cobblestones were the wrong shape'
'Those Undead made me erik my bedross'
'There weren't enough people called Susan'
'I'm allergic to all things linear'
'Those Mechanists gave me an uncomfortable feeling in my special place'
'Distinct lack of pointy roofing'

Such as:
1) No subtitles present and voice is very hard to understand.
2) The door in the room with Navigational Globe is openable with a sword.
3) Rather big and useless city part.

Being able to bash/destroy doors open has always been an intended mechanic, that option has been in Looking Glass' games since Ultima Underworld and is a legit way to get into locked rooms. You can't hold that against the author.

I can. There are doors which are intended to open and there are doors which have only the wall behind them.

If it's the one I'm thinking about (my favourite mission of the contest), that door with a wall behind it was completely intentional when you consider the area it's in

And there is one instance where a door (or rather gate...) can be opened and it leads to... the great nothing: The area beyond the mission!
Never had this one before... so may be it was intentional? Nah...
While it's great how supportive this forum is and how constructive criticism is usually posted here (perhaps reasons why these games still live?), in the end mistakes and deficiencies should still be called out. Authors can only improve when they get honest opinions.
Mistakes are human so there is no shame in that. And I'm not talking about spelling mistakes here.
But a contest is about competition, too, and not only about participation.
I haven't voted, yet, as I'm not finished with all missions but to me it's already clear that this contest has a more "dynamic" score distribution...
My bottom line is that this contest is not nearly as good/successful as the T1 anniversary one where practically every mission was a winner and some of the best T1 missions were born.
Don't get me wrong: I'm not totally disappointed and have/had a blast with some missions but I honestly expected a bit more from this contest.
Voting will happen accordingly.

Lack of subtitles (and translations in general) can in most cases be attributed in part to the contest deadline. Only one mission was received well ahead of the deadline, so most of them were under the crunch just to finish. That being said, most authors are not in the habit of seeking out either translations or subtitle creation before the initial release of their missions (I'm speaking generally here, not just for the contest) and that is something that we should try to improve upon.

I think I know, which mission you are talking about, and I agree with you on this one. Everything beside the city part was quite enjoyable, but the city itself was a bit of a letdown.

Initially, when I found this bug, I thought I had a broken version of the mission, as this gate is not really hidden, and everyone that will play the mission is bound to stumble upon this bug. It's strange, that this has not been found in beta testing.
I also want to note, that Troubling Transitions is one of the few FMs (not contest FMs, but FMs in general), that managed to include ambient background music, which is neither distracting, irritating or too loud.
