Aww you taffers are all too nice to this thief :) So then, I agree that i have much to learn and much to do. Right now I'm installing a second copy of Thief and downloading the Dromed toolkit to give this FM thing a try.. I will also join the beta test effort, it's something i can do well for sure :)

After playing missions like Pirates Ahoy, Broken Triad, Night In Rocksbourg, Heist Society, The Ashen Age, The Seven Sisters, Rowena's Curse, Mystic Gems, Night Falcon, A Love Story and on and on.. its hard for me to go back to playing the original missions. Its good for the nostalgia factor for me, but the missions just look so blocky and low res that I don't enjoy them much anymore.
True, true, i have seen some of the oh-so-impressive screenshots. But some missions just can't be replaced. Return to the Cathedral, The Sword, First City Bank and Trust, those are gems (at least for me).

:laff:
This is true. Some fan missions have incredible voicework (Sly included) but for the most part they use recycled Thief OM conversations and such or no voicework at all. It was more of a broad comment than directed at the few missions that contain excellent custom conversations.
Mission X and Ink And Dust come to mind for truly incredible recent voicework.
