So I've contemplated getting Thief Gold for YEARS (literally probably about 10), and I finally bit the big one and ordered....2

How did this happen? I have NO idea but I do believe that I have two original box Thief Gold's both set to be delivered between December 13th - 22nd according to my email and amazon account.

Merry xmas? I guess I couldn't have asked for a better game to double purchase:erg:

In case of a zombie apocalypse, where in a emotional scene you have to leave your computer running Thief because of the zombies breaking through your window, you can restart the fun in your zombie-proof basement with spare computer and spare Thief disc. :)

There's a thief collection edition here in the uk that includes Thief Gold instead of the regular dark project - as well as thief 2 and deadly shadows all on one DVD. Is that available in the US as well? I've also got my original copys of gold, 2 and shadows - but it's a lot easier having all the installs on one disk instead of 5!

for about 15 bucks last year about this time. It comes with Gold, if this one is the same as mine that I have, and if the people making reviews aren't lying.

But you still have to use the fixes to make the first one work.

I bought my Thief Gold cds new for around $15 canadian at Radio Shack. This was about 6 years ago. I had gotten Thief 2 before for around the same price, and earlier this year I got T3 for pretty much the same on Amazon. It seems the pattern with game prices is they start out kinda pricey when new, then they get super cheap, and eventually the price goes up again, insanely. Those new TG copies on Amazon are probably because the game is getting harder to find - the rarity factor. A lot of other older games, like(http://www.amazon.com/Blood-2-Chosen-Pc/dp/B00001XDRA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1292047397&sr=8-1) Blood 2 (1998), are insanely expensive nowadays.
