Deus Ex is going to favor a much smaller and wide-ranging group of skills including, but not limited to, the following: computers, demolition, environmental suit training, lockpick, medical, swimming, technology, heavy weapons, low technology weapons, pistol, and rifle. Each skill has four levels of advancement (untrained, trained, advanced, and master), and you'll need a certain number of experience points to increase your level
- What exactly is environmental suit training?
- Low tech weapons - like the knife? Lead pipes? Not quite sure....
- Pistol and Rifle - how many types of pistol and rifle? Or is it just one pistol and one rifle?

Opinions are like assholes. They stink, and everybody's got one.

Environmental suit training: maybe you get a HAZMAT suit and the skill determines how well you use it.
Low tech: I think you get some kind if pepper spray/mace
BTW where did you find that info?

And how is Environmental Suit Training a "wide ranging" skill?

Ok, I'm not trying to be sarcastic. This is a serious question:
Do you guys want answers, are are you having more fun speculating?
Junkie Doodle on 12/1/2000 at 10:15
There are answers?
Ringwraith on 12/1/2000 at 13:30
At this point a lot of talk about Deus Ex is speculation because they are keeping so tight lipped about it. After all, if we knew averything about the game there would be less point in playing it. I expect more details as it approaches it's ship date though.

well - for me its a bit of both (Im speculating + I want a few answers)
I really want to know about the akimbo thing.
As for the rest - speculation I guess. And an added dose of curiosity.

While speculation can sometimes be interesting, in the end it is frivolous, and indeed can raise hopes too high. Personally, I'd like answers.
