" I must remain alive to greet The Builder, while all around me all else is cleansed by His wondrous breath."
"His wondrous breath" clearly refers to the Necrotic Mutox, which "cleanses" everything else while Karras alone remains alive...
"The day shall come when I,
too, breathe in His perfection."
...but eventually Karras, like everyone else, will also breathe the Mutox, after his role in bringing about the Builder's Paradise has been fulfilled.
Paraphrasing Herr_Garrett, this is purely speculation: Karras doesn't specify WHEN he would have to breath along with the Builder, neither he means that breath are the Necrotic Mutox, otherwise he would have said: "The day shall come when I, too, will be cleaned by this breath", then not breathing! In this way the sentence would have been undeniable.
And it's time to quit that you all say that the problem is my comprehension of english, because I read and understand quite all the texts, just I commit some form error when I write.

It's a pity it isn't an armour. It's some sort of machinery or rigging, you know.
False. Take a look at the jtr7's videos about Karras in the protective chamber, and tell me that's not an armour...

It is.

Oh sit on it Pots. :p
Look dude, you are looking *way* too far into this, and in the wrong direction. You see, when jtr shows what a maniac he is for his love of trivial details, at least he *knows* what he is talking about. Face it buddy, your beloved villain *knew he was going to die* as much as you didnt want him to. That is the point of his fanatacism. He *really* believed that what he was doing (completely opposite of the faith of the Hammer order) was going to purify *everything*. "Praise Karras....and the builder". I know how much you want Karras to fit *your* desires of him, but hey. You didnt write the story. You are just another pawn like the rest of us, along for the majestic ride that was LGS.

You are based on what?? With all the respect for jtr7, you cannot base everything from an analysis of a single person. Then, try to dismantle my thesis with solid respones. For example: why he didn't say "when I, too, shall be cleaned by His wondrous breath"? Or: where it's written that Karras would have killed himself JUST AFTER the Builder's Paradise were arrived? :nono:
Goldmoon Dawn on 17/11/2009 at 22:06
Seriously? Because the degree of detail that you are reaching for on the specific subject just doesnt freakin' matter! jtr only noodles in on things that are relevant to identifying actual canon. The only thing that your theory would best fit is your own fascination with the Karras character. Which is cool. :ebil:

Nay. I see it in a different way.

(The following are the notes I was writing to structure an argument to show Massi he is probably wrong, but I gave up in shear boredom and he won't believe it anyway. Hence the confused writing.)
This is pointless and I shouldn't get involved but oh well.
There are a couple of things which suggest you are wrong Mas.
First, in the quote you gave - kar1602k "bla bla I'm a mad nutter bla bla", punctuation is vital,
Principaly where the commas are. (Who punctuated this transcription?)
To suit your interpretation there would have to be a comma after breathe.
It still could mean what you want without that pause/comma but it remains ambigous.
If it hadn't been for my second point which sort of screws your argument.
The adverb too. This does not imply anything, it means directly that Karras will breathe in the builders perfection along with others.
He started this quote with a cry of sadness. " Alas, I alone must wait for purification."
Note the word wait, implying that he is only delaying the "purification"
Consider that the previous statement says "while all around me all else is cleansed by His wondrous breath".
Cleanse is a synonym for purify and "all else" is experiencing this purification.
Breathe is mentioned in both contexts.
Oh Christ, I can't be bothered to finish this pointless analyses, to close of every loophole is still another 20 mins and I can't be arsed.
So to end Massi, it is almost certain you are wrong.
jtr7 on 17/11/2009 at 22:57
I don't know how it's getting translated over there,Mass', but he says he must wait, he has to make sure all is ready after the Mutox cleans the earth, and when the Paradise is ready, he uses the Mutox on his own flesh and takes his place by the Builder's side. It's clear over here.
But dammit, I said I didn't want to talk about it.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

As jtr7 said.

Its a religion, so I don't expect it to make sense. They might even wish for their own demise so that the builder shall come.
