insertnamehere Go to the end of the corridor where you found the rope arrows and put a rope arrow up into the beam over the hall (the one you have your back to when you're facing the end of the hallway). There's a switch up there that you need to throw.
Yes, it definitely could have used some more testing. I wrote a walkthrough that I'm going to send to Jason that may help people who get stuck.

I was wondering what was supposed to happen when[SPOILER] the two hands were put together apart from a bit of cold water coming down. I jumped over and pressed a button but nothing happened[/SPOILER]

I can see the hand down the stairs from where i am but where is the key to open door so I can go down?

Maloo - if you're looking down from above through rail and a gate, then you have to go a different way. [SPOILER]Go to the kitchen (key is on table behind door in area where you are I think) open the door and bang the gong, I ran (right) out of the kitchen and hid in the shadow by the light and waited till a guard came out from the large wooden gate/door then ducked in whilst he was in the kitchen. You make your way along the passages and can turn off the security in an alcolve. To get out from the area, you need to find the secret lift in the chapel. If you did what I did first and frobbed the gate with Hand, you'll lose it from you inventory and you need it later.[/SPOILER]

You have to find another way in, maloo. Go into the kitchen and find a gong. Ring it then go hide down the hallway beside a big wooden door. A guard will come through and leave the door open. Head through and have a look around. :)

I'm stuck now. I need to find a key [SPOILER]to get myself out of the room where the vase is[/SPOILER]
Also there's a switch near the electric thingy near the table with the book just past the lift which highlights but doesn't move when frobbed. Is it doing something somewhere else perhaps, that I can't see for now?
OK, been back and found a key so will try that. Right, the key unlocks the lock but nothing seems to happen, I'm still locked in. Perhaps I'm doing things the wrong way round.
Final edit. See from post on page 1 about the lever and the key so hopefully will not be stuck anymore.
Agnes doesn't seem to want to be rescued - dozy bird!
