That's correct - Digi and a few others had to petition LGS to release the editor after T1 was released. I don't believe the editor was released until around mid 1999 or so. Then Thief Gold came out and included it on the disk.

Right, I remember that now. Thanks for the correction.

That's amazing. I had no idea LGS didn't add the editor of their own accord. Those fans made a huge difference to the game and community surrounding it!

I have the files from the original petition on southquarter, but they need some formatting and editing to work properly. I had hoped to publish it for historical purposes. Here's are a couple of ROUGH web pages from the original petition site done by Glaswolf and Subjective Effect. I always thought the Dromed history they put together was really cool:
(Note: Most (all?) of the links on these pages do not currently work.

That's fantastic! Thank you, Brethren. Do you know if a copy of the original petition still exists somewhere?

Thanks, Brethren!
@ nickie: And why is this funny, exactly?

Didja read it? Not exactly your standard petition-speak. :cheeky:

I hadn't read it yet, no. That's awesome!
As for nickie, I just assumed she was laughing at me since she usually does.
