I dont understand what the dark age in TDS is supposed to be? does it refer to when the glyphs are destroyed and there are no more prophecies etc.? or is it just meant to be about the threat of gamall and keeper corruption?
also what do you guys think became of the keepers after the end? because Garrett implies to that girl that he is a keeper, but also someone said "what will become of the city without us?" indicating that the keepers will be discontinued

The thing about prophecies is that they are usually vague and can be interpreted in a multitude of ways. Remember how the Keepers were busy discussing what time stopping meant, while Garrett just went with the simplest, semi-literal interpretation and stopped the clock on the tower? It's similar with the unwritten times: the Keepers think it's about the catastrophic outcome of Gamall's plan, but Garrett realizes the prophecy by using the failsafe glyph and destroying the glyphs. Thus, an unwritten age begins, with no more prophecies.
As for the fate of the Keepers - it's obvious they can't continue in the same form. They can't study glyphs anymore, and their compound has been exposed. The ending implies that Garrett is starting a "reformed" version of the Keepers, fit for the unwritten times.

Funny how they never really appeared to study glyphs in T1 in the first place...

Funny how T1 wasn't centred around them in the first place...

In my memory glyphs get only one mentioning in TDP, in the end cutscene.

It's only about a dark age. The keepers are gone, so there is nobody around to record history.
