i completed night of the red moon, which use to be impossible on my old comp, but on new comp runs amazing so i am trying to remember other handful of fan missions from thief 2 i wasent able to play decently on my old comp that i want to replay on new comp
one had a part with viktoria in some deep fog and some guard talking about how she is just standing there
thank you in advance

The mission with a female undead (not Victoria) and the guard saying "And she's just standing there. ..." is "Raven's Nest", the second mission of Soul Tears "Keeper of Infinity" campaign, currently having two missions. There are some places in both missions where especially lower-end graphics cards are stressed: The fog scene, the places where there are deep holes in the streets from which dust clouds emerge, and the top of the water trench in the first mission where there is a lot of "water spray" just abvoe the water surface. This trench can be reached directly at the beginning - just jump down on the left side of the bridge before the city gate, swim up to the surface, look in the horizontal direction, and see what happens if you swim ahead.
The first mission of Beltzer's "Lonmore" campaign also has lots of particle effects if one looks down into the gaps between the high buildings there. There were some DML fixes published in the "Lonmore" thread which can reduce the load on the player's hardware, and probably tell you a bit more about how low-end your machine may actually be.
Another mission placing moderate stress on a computer is the first one of "Breaking the Stone". If the player manages to climb on the roofs of the houses there, a wide view slows down low-spec computers, most notably while standing there and rotating the view.
Somewhat similar to "Breaking the Stone" are some views in the first mission of Zontik's "King's Story". Again, wide-angle views over a vast landscape place some stress on graphics cards and probably CPUs.
Then there is the FTM campaign by Cardia. Depending on what the player looks at, there may be high demand on CPU or the graphics hardware, or both. High-end machines probably have no problem with that campaign. On my machines, viewing along the long and straight streets seemed to give the CPU a high work load, while looking across a field with high grass tended to place load on the graphics hardware.
The beginning of "Death's Turbid Veil" may also cause a slowdown on some machines. I do not know whether it was discovered what exactly is overloaded in this case. But if you have to look down on the ground very often in the garden outside the mansion in order to have decent FPS, then something in your machine is fed more work than it was made for.
Alright then, time to put your new rig to the test...;)

I'd add the second mission of Godbreaker in the swamp. I play in an old PC (Lonemore is practically unplayable for me for example, same as Death's Turbid Veil) and it struggled with that one and all it's fog.

just played a bit of Keeper of Infinity and it runs fine :)

"Keeper of Infinity" usually only lags in some special places: When looking at the spray on the water while swimming in the water-filled trench near the beginning of the first mission, before the deep holes (such as the one near a merchant's hut in the first city part), and when looking into the direction of the fog in the scene a bit into the second mission, where there's a conversation between three guards. The fog there also is not Thief 2's "standard fog". IIRC, it's some particle-based thing as well. By the way, the part where a stool has to be placed on top of an iron fence in order to get over there and back again is also a part of the beginning of the second "Keeper of Infinity" mission.
Oh, and don't mix up the single-mission version of KoI's first mission ("Bad Venture") with the version in the two-mission campaign. AFAIK, the single-mission version does not have the particle effects which slow down many machines.
Concerning "Godbreaker": Many machines lag in the swamp parts, or at least in some parts of these parts.:p But I don't think it's the fog there, for that seems to be Thief 2's "standard fog", which never was a problem for me. If you still think dense fog could be a problem, use CTRL-SHIFT-ALT-END in the Thief 2 OM's until you reach "Life of the Party", which has fog right at the beginning. Or take a trip to the Herman Manor in "The Curse", or maybe "Horns of Canzo". Or try "Raid on Washout Central". All three have good old Thiefy fog right from the start.
One mission I forgot to mention is "Heartcliff Islands", although it takes some time until the player reaches places outside the first building. Then, however, the "non-lite" version of that mission may stress low-end machines as well.

Interesting! If it's not fog, what do you think it could be?

I could not find out what it was when I tried some weeks ago. As someone else wrote in the "Godbreaker" thread, lagging seems to occur if one looks into certain directions in the swamp areas. I do agree, but can't find a reason for that. However, there are two hints: I never experienced lagging in any swamp far from the first two swamp areas. These are the swamp at Nilbog, and the swamp close to there, where the thieves are. The other hint at something is that I always had notable lagging when leaving the swamp with the thieves via the exit to the caves near the witch's hut, and especially when travelling through that cave entrance/exit from the caves into the swamp with the thieves. I could never nail it down further, though.

The Tower in the Forest by Notesthes is pretty intense, lots of detailed areas, expansive, and lots of particle effects and water & flow brushes..
