I died a little yesterday upon reading how apparently the Collectors Edition is flying off the virtual shelves. At 150 bucks a pop, a real bargain.

Did you honestly expect anything else? People are morons.

I found a new copy of Sin Episodes for $7. This is about $3 less than on Steam. Should I buy it? The seller has thousands of good ratings, so It should be legit. Its the CD version though. I'm just wondering if it is a really short game, being an "episode". They were supposed to make many more episodes, but the project was canned years ago and the original devs from SiN split up forever ago.
Also, I'm really looking forward to RAGE. The plot is very similar to Strife, but at least it isn't "monsters are coming from another planet, destroy them".

Don't buy it. You'll just complain about how much it sucks because it's not like its predecessor, never mind the long time difference between them.

Emergence was horribad.

I think Dethtoll was jabbing at lost_soul's disposition. Not Emergence.
I enjoyed emergence, would have been a great set of games if they had finished it.

I bought FEAR 3 for ~$27 NZD from G2Play, it's a Steamworks key so it's all good.

SiN: Emergence is a Steamworks game (one of the first 3rd party ones, actually), unless the copy is NEW AND SEALED, DON'T BUY IT. Otherwise you'd be getting a coaster, because Steamworks keys are one-use only.
Emergence felt more like a Half-Life 2 mod than a SiN game. They turned Blade into a mute for some fucked reason.
Other than that the shooting mechanics are fun, it has some satisfying weapons and nice OOT gore effects.
There's a couple Blade speech mods which make the experience a lot more fun for SiN fans.

(The other one has Blade's taunts/one-liners, but the link on Ritualistic is long since broken. I've been meaning to upload it to Gamefront and/or ModDB for a while now.)

High likelihood that Rage will use Steamworks, because Id Software's parent company and publisher, Bethesda, love it.

But you're paying for them before you do because you're not a filthy pirate, right?
Koki on 25/7/2011 at 13:34
Yar har, fiddle di dee,
Being a pirate is alright to be,
Do what you want ‘cause a pirate is free,
You are a pirate!
