LOL FUCK THE MAN. Fuck you buddy. Fuckin hooker with a penis, what with your new tattoos, vans, and 501s. :ebil:
I agree with these sentiments.
How dare a game developer conforms with the realities of the market of including DRM, they absolutely shouldn't be able to put bread on their tables. For the end-user Steamworks is by the fairest DRM system on the market and gives consumers a lot of perks - this certainly would've been a large factor for Gearbox choosing this middleware over say SecuROM.
But seriously, could've done without the references to one of Tool's worst songs ever. :eww:

but I hope none of the money I spend goes to GB or 3DR.
Ooh, here's another idea: If you disagree with something Gearbox did,
don't buy the fucking game at all. Then it wouldn't make you such a hypocrite, because if after all your moaning and whining about how you hate DRM and actually want to see developers fail you'd be such a goddamn tool to go and buy it and support them anyways.

I bought the Frozen Synapse bundle. RoboSport was one of my favorite games ever, and its finally great to see another game of the same type emerge.

I would have agreed with you until I was unable to hook my personal laptop up to the net for months at a time. Steamworks loses some of its charm when you have no way of playing any of the big releases because they ALL want to activate on Steam.

1. Go to a coffee shop with free wifi.
2. Run each game which you plan on playing once.
3. Put Steam into offline mode.
4. Profit

FTR I'm not just talking about DRM. I was talking about a developer that BS'd their fans for over a decade. The game will be the greats FPS ever. It will have a map editor like DN3d. etc

1. Nobody hyped up Duke Forever except the press. If you fell for the hype and/or had unrealistic expectations just because the game had been in development for a long time, then you're an idiot.
2. Triptych and Gearbox shouldn't be punished just because George Broussard was a "perfectionist" douche living in cloud cuckooland and that Scott Miller was his doormat; neither should the countless employees who had worked for 3D Realms over the eons. Without Triptych and Gearbox, the game would never have been finished and released in any state.

3DR no longer exists, Gearbox isn't responsible for any of that, so what are you whinging about?
