So my plan of upgrading to a GTX560Ti as a stop gap for playing Battlefield 3 until I can afford an all new PC has gone far better, better than I ever imagined it would. I was hoping for Medium graphical settings at best, but with most of the settings on High this game runs smooth with framerates of 30-60 in SP and 30-50ish in the Rush MP servers which I played. As I said before most settings are on High, sans for the usual generally unnoticeable settings (that tend to be performance hogs), which have been adjusted:- AO is off, shadows on medium, post-processing AA on low.
I also turned off motion blur as a personal preference. In BF3 it's excessively used and very annoying, as is common in many contemporary action games. Simply looking around has dreadful blurring, f*cking Christ.
Seems there is still plenty of longevity left in my dual core (C2D E8500).

I dunno about the me-too, post-mainstream success ones, but the original grown man My Little Pony communities weren't exactly filled with isolated care bears like we have with Thiefgen, they're typically more like internet meme spurting assholes. Basically 4chan gutter wash.
