Hmm ppl need to post more; this is turning a bit too much into "Yakoobs food blog" :p
Sorry, Yakoob, but for someone like me, I cook at home, and try to make simple, nutritional, low-calorie, low cost, mostly organic meals without heavy sauces and garnishes and extra fat and bullshit. It's like steak: a rib-eye, salt, pepper, maybe a little thyme, and fire is all one needs. Why would one pour a rich sauce over a steak? All you taste at that point is the sauce with some meat in the background.
So, what did I eat late night? A plate of basmati rice with jalapeno 'infused' (because I know foodies love the fucking term, 'infused') black-eyed peas, mixed with mustard and turnip greens and onion, and a sweet potato (though I did cheat and put butter...real butter, none of that margarine shit...and organic brown sugar on top). For dessert, I had an apple. It was a meal not photo worthy (served on an adobe-colored dish, with a glass of distilled water on the side, if that helps) or something you'd find a discussion about on the "Hell's Gourmet" forum (sub-forum, 'I ate a rotten orangutan fetus with eggplant because I could'). But, to me, it was tasty and highly satisfying.
... and no, I'm not knocking your thread, for it actually is interesting. It's just I don't eat out, so I cannot really contribute anything that would be of interest to anyone else.

Yer just a big girl's blouse, Queue. Tonight I'm having a fry-up but I'm not choosing or cooking so it's a bonus. But on the other hand, it certainly won't be worthwhile taking a pic. If I should, in the near future, have anything pic-worthy, I'll be sure to take some.

Tonight, I'm cooking hot dogs over an open flame, and serving them up with a side of skewered potatoes cooked over the grill.
For tonight, I rage, rage, RAGE against the dying of the summer. This is my last stand, my denial of the coming winter. Not that it'll do me any good. No matter how much I protest, complain, and rage, it's still gonna get cold. But you know what? Fuck it. I'm having hot dogs while the weather's still good.

Are US hot dogs like those disgusting, rubbery, sausage-shaped yuck things they produce in the UK?

No? Maybe? I guess it depends on what you get. I usually buy beef franks, and they're almost always delicious.

Today I had wild mushroom risotto, homemade by my gf.
Desert was caramel merengue with cream and sliced banana.
I meant to take pics.

I found a hot and juicy hotdog pict to post, but I don't think it's the same thing everyone else is talking about....
But I'D certainly put some relish and mustard on it and go to town.

For reasons I can't explain, knowing that you're all teeth no lips doesn't surprise me in the least, Queue. :P

What I had last night.

That isn't ketchup, it's tomato sauce with lots of tabasco.
This was breakfast a couple of days ago.

Ham, feta and chive omelette with slow fried onions (about 20mins in some olive oil) and fried piccolo tomatoes.
