Well, I'm having tonite a salad with spinach, pear slices, purple onion slices, fresh sliced mushrooms (the white chubby kind, I forget their name...), pecan nut bits, feta cheese crumbled, topped with a homemade dressing of balsamic vinegar, olive oil and honey :)
Plus, two seared tuna filets with white pepper, salt, rubbed in olive oil and some teriyaki marinade. Om nom nom nom....
Ah, and limeade (in Mexico it's our lemonade). Yes, I know...white wine and such, but I'm not much of a wines' man.
:)

I already made a mojito with my own mint :p
*seething envy* Alcohol, lime and the rusticness of growing your own food, perfect! :thumb:
Last night I made cheesy (5 different cheeses if you count the parmigiano sprinkled on top) creamy chicken pasta with basil and cherry tomatoes, it was quite nice :D

Since I've started cooking cakes in the microwave oven, I have also made a lot of home made pizzas, in just 8 minutes time, cheese, salami, tomato sauce, and some spices.
Thickest pizza ever 3-4 cm tall.

Speaking of the american white bleached bread of poo, it is indeed pretty generic and bland, but best stuff for plain toast.
That being said, I've recently made my own bread a few times. I realized how laughably easy it is to make bread; Yea, it's pretty messy, but the actual steps are dead simple. And even with no fancy ingredients it tastes awesome, especially when still warm with a wee bit o butter :)
And then I started to experiment. A bit of oats with some herbs de provence gives it a nice texture and a nice italian-esque taste and aroma, perfect for pasta dishes!

I've been meaning to give that a go for years, and tonight I finally did. It delivered.

Practically every morning, for as long as I've tried it, I've had two pieces of toast with a light coating of marmite and a tall oj and two cups of coffee. This is what I am having right now and will continue to have, every morning, toast and marmite. I might add some eggs on the side or sausage or what have you, but it never has changed.

Haha, another animal of habit :D I
must have coffee-flavored yoghurt in the morning, otherwise the day starts almost as badly as if I had no coffee.
This morning breakfast also included fresh watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple and banana. Yum, summery :)
