The contrast of the night scene does highlight the fact that there aren't many shadows in the original art.

NV do you mean it makes it worse by pointing out the issue? Or only when you compare the two (as in, the 2nd is better)?
I won't have the time to implement any full light system (especially with the engine's performance), so it's either top or bottom at this point as far as my options go.

I meant that the second picture looks much better - seeing it makes me realise how flat the lighting in the first shot looks.

Gotcha, thx.
Also, trying to determine the best logo balance. Top, middle or bottom?

I like the middle one the best. Has a sense of gravitas to it.

Not middle. Maybe top.

The bottom one. The title has the best contrast on a solid background.

Middle one works for me, what with it looking like an actual headline and the visual counterpoint of the text slapped against the dude's head.

Depending on where you're planning to put this game, the logo should probably be clearly visible and decipherable at very small sizes. I'd keep that in mind when choosing.

NV - yea I'm thinking of using bottom for big version and top one for smaller one maybe
ice - yup, gonna do that for the main menu + trailer :]
