That's great! I'd be up for playing a beta version of it again if there is a new one. I might even find some time for a little feedback!
I've told loads of people about this. Make sure you get in touch when its done so I can pimp it.

Thanks! Still bummed out you couldn't do the writing, but I totally understand your reasons and appreciate the honesty, so no ill will there! I'll keep you posted and would definitely love more feedback in the future from you :)

So I figured I'd ask fellow designers if anyone knows a good place for some isometric, free to use, normal character sprites? I've been looking at OpenGameArt.org and some old game art that's been released for free, but all of it either falls into medieval fantasy category, animu, or spaceships.
EDIT: to clarify, what I mean by normal is, think Arcanum or some of the Fallout characters, not knights in armor or cartoony, final fantasy type stuff (Which is what I got now if you look at my screenshots above, tho staring at it for past few months I think i've been warming up to it lol).

Look at some open source isometric games too. The one that comes to my mind is Survival Crisis Z, because I recall digging through all its sprite sheets. Aside from the monsters, the rest of it was pretty general urban scenery & characters.

So Google just released a whole bunch of new gaming related APIs as part of the Google Play Services package for Android development, and taking a cursory examination of the documentation (but not any code yet), it appears to be easy enough that I could integrate it in to Plague & Pestilence and get working multiplayer without having to learn to write netcode from scratch. I might even be able to use location services to do the tablet + phones idea without having to figure out Wi-fi Direct (something like if (hostDevice==tablet && numDevicesInLobby >= 3 && deviceLocations == roughly the same place) {enable local board game option on host}. It'll probably be harder than that, but that's how my brain wants it to be). So I have registered as a Google Play developer and will start getting back to work on P&P some time soon, and might even release a playable temp art beta into the wild. I'd better, otherwise I will have just wasted twenty-five bucks.

Dragon's Castle, huh? :P
Get this thing out. I'll play it.
