We'll, I don't post around here much these days. Haven't worked with Thief Ii in a long time, and it's even been quite a spell for The Dark Mod.

But I made this recently hoping to get it into the Team Fortress 2 Halloween update. And it made it!!!

As I closet-pyro, I'm sorry I didn't fire up TF2 over Halloween :( But then again, I do find it rather too addicting, so that's probably not a bad thing.

I made (http://roguelite.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/carpets-and-level-generation.html) random carpets. I am more excited than I should be.

Have implemented a (http://roguelite.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/map-mode-and-lighting.html) fog layer so you get more of an exploration feel.

I've been looking into (http://aigamedev.com/open/articles/bt-overview/) behaviour trees for the AI, anyone else used them before?

Ulukai, are you doing all the pixel art yourself, or are you grabbing it from a package somewhere and using it for your engine? Either way, it looks awesome.

Thanks. Most of the sprites are created by (http://oryxdesignlab.com/sprites/) Oryx although some sprites are created from scratch or modified Oryx ones, because the ones I want don't exist.

That's pretty cool. The reason I ask is because I recently discovered that the iPad is just about perfect for doing pixel art. I found one particularly good app (albeit with a really annoying file selector), and I've been trying my hand at it again.

Also, those 2-bit backgrounds in the ultimate rougelike tileset make me want to try something similar. They remind me a lot of Sword of Hope for the old original Gameboy.
