Thanks. Moved some of those potted plants out to other rooms and pushed this a bit further, more light, more soft shadows.
4 days to build in that video is quite believable. Stick with what you know, use the assets provided, don't get sidetracked. Good value for the work put in.
Funny thing is by comparison my stair hall began, well the empty rooms were made in 2007. Now I've spent over a month on and off doing this stair hall plus the main hall simply because of problems with the carved wood texturing. I felt like burning it all down a few weeks ago. Still not re-checked every inch of that stair close up.
Anyway, it was only today it suddenly started to look half-decent as everything fitted into place so I feel better about it now. :)

This being the Halloween season and all... Is there a TDM Halloween Contest or something going on I've missed...?
You people are teasing us so shamelessly about Halloween-themed (possible) missions of the near future, so I gotta ask... :ebil: :angel:

No Halloween contest as it was too close to the completion of the summer contest. I think HappyCheeze was talking about releasing a halloween FM he did internally last year but is too busy with schoolwork so I don't think we'll see that for a while. Anyway, I think that needs the next update. ;)

Oh gosh, looking through this has me seriously craving another TDM FM! So many gorgeous screenshots. :)
I really hope my computer doesn't spaz out on this one like it does for Alchemist, Fidcal. Missing out on FMs just breaks my heart!

That part of the map hasn't been properly optimised yet, but it generally gets more FPS than 16.

@clearing: That video makes me wonder, is there somr sort of russian TDM forum with people working on missions? You might want to tell that gut, that too many lightswitches in a map are bad for gameplay, as it will become way too easy. Other than that, it's a great progress in such a short time.

The fps value on screenshots is almost never accurate. Sometimes it's boosted by a hundred and somtimes it's lowered quite a bit. But that screen is very cool, indeed. The weird thing is, that one can directly tell it's Melan's work. :)
By the way Melan, maybe you should try to introduce some more lightcolor variations to the scene. Even supposedly yellowish emitters cast a white light, it seems.
