I can't even articulate how happy that makes me. :D
The Burrick looks happy, anyway.

There were also burrick riders in one of DarkArrow's missions, it was A Guard Called Benny if memory serves. You might look at how he did it.

Okay, thanks, I will try to look at it :thumb:

Very nice !
I although want to warn you about something with riders which maybe has not disapeared in NewDark : when you don't look at the burrick, the rider was able to move and attack you regardless the position of the creature like an invisible ghost. I would like to know if such a glitch still exist.
For realistic effect, I suggest you to replace your chair model by an AI model with a special texture with invisible torso, arms and head for the legs, and set to your archer normal motions and a texture with no legs. Then you will have a rider more realistic. :)

I'm not sure why, but I put the rider to sleep and set not to fidget. That is okay for a basic visual effect, but doesn't allow for rider combat. And I'm not sure that I've seen examples of sitting AI that move.

I really like the concept of legs with an invisible texture. But I don't understand the part about replacing the chair model with an AI model. Why would the torso, arms and head need to be invisible? Is it a combination of two meshes: 1 mesh visible, the other invisible?
With a CreatureAttachment, the rider was stuck on any given joint on the Burrick I set it to, but with the abdomen and rear joints he was stuck in the middle of the Burrick body. Having an object with a CreatureAttachment holds the object in place on the Burrick, then the DetailAttachment connects the AI to the object. I'll keep experimenting with this to get some different results.
EDIT: Here are some Game Mode screenshots. The small chair is not visible, but the rider's leg's intrude the Burrick mesh. With the first pictures, I was more focused on showing the arrangement of the object and meshes.

Actually, the trick is to have instead of a tiny old chair, static AI legs and then a torso that can rotate. ;)
You will have the impression that the guy is still sitting but can turn around at you and shoot. It will allow AI rider combat.
Maybe I'll post here an example mission to illustrate what I mean...

Interesting...I'm wondering how to freeze the lower joints and allow the others to move. If you can post an example that would be great to see!

The only way is to edit the motion files, which will be made more complicated if the mission also has archers on foot.
