My suspicions are confirmed. Most of the good authors are math pukes.
Since I had to go through the 10th grade 3 times, I figure it was my favorite year in high school. Math teacher kept me in the back row, where I wrote short stories. Later, I got an English degree 'cause the Air Force told me "you need to get a degree if you want to be promoted." Bogus.
I was a commercial painter until I turned 25. Joined the Air Force and ended up painting camouflage aircraft. Retired. Worked for Lowe's (Home Improvement) where I worked in the Paint Department. None of that helped me in Dromed. In fact, I think all of the MEK, toulene, isocyanates, and other crap ingested over a lifetime wrecked half my brain.
Oh, well. Time to do something useful, like watching (

On the topic of what makes you good... anyone guess what this video is doing here without looking at the uploader's name? :D

Yeah. Starting to understand how things happened.

Well, I guessed the wrong former FM-making architect who now works for Arkane Studios.
(Though I knew it wasn't him because he doesn't have a beard.)

I guessed right! Kind of by coincidence though. I just offhandedly was thinking I bet it's Purah or Saturnine
I think making an FM above all requires someone that can follow instructions without fully understanding them at first but faith that it all comes together. STEMs professions are used to that, but it's really a mindset rather that a profession.
Anyway I'm a lawyer, which is heavy on the "just RTFM" mindset so it fits, though just have 1 completed FM and 2 big WIPs, one in T2 and one in TDM.
