Illustrator and Graphic Designer for a small company that designs and sells novelty pajamas. I'm the entire art department. I do all the illustration and production files that I send off to India for manufacture, and I design and direct all advertisements (mostly for trade show materials), catalogs and other supporting materials. We sell our pajamas at resorts and gift shops all over the US and Canada.

Accounting. Lost my job to outsourcing several years ago & have been having a tough time finding another one. So I've learned to take computers apart. Nothing more; just take them apart.

Wow, I was away for a couple of days and its nice to say the replies. I did a quick look and didnt see the older thread with the same idea. Sorry about that!
@ Henke: What programs do you predominately use?
@ Dethtoll: Unfortunately, I cannot say that I am contributing the the delays. I was in training and it didnt pan out. Though my understanding of the situation with the FAA was that it was management who was forced to understaff as a result of budget constraints. Was that not correct?
@ Kolya: What part of the world are you in?
@Faetal: Thanks for pointing out the other thread! As for your research, I have a very limited science background; does in vitro alternatives mean you would use something like tissue samples rather than a live animal?
@ Vivian: Your thread about being published (Congrats, by the way!) is what led me to create this unintentionally redundant thread. While your work is way beyond my mental capacities, it does sound very cool!
@Fett: What religion are you part of? As a lover of history, I find elements of theological study really interesting! Is there a specific topic you specialize in?
@Demagogue: Very cool!
@Thirith: The job market is indeed awful! I couldnt begin to count the people I know that are struggling to find a job that sustains them, let alone something in their field. Good luck if you find yourself needing work!
@Yakoob: Your work and educational experiences seem about as far apart as mine are! I'll check out Portmortem's site next!
@Kroakie: I'll have a look at your Ghost Recon. I played all the older games, but to be honest, I hadnt heard of GR Online until you mentioned it. Worth a look, for sure!
@Blackman: Good to see you! The diversity of your work is neat. Truly a jack of all trades, it seems! Also, moving sucks! I feel your pain, even if you have been moved in for a while.
Thanks for replying, guys! :D

If you know how to take them apart, you're only one small step away from learning how to put them back together.
That's where the money is. I hear you can make a low 5 digit income doing that.

Hewer: Very neat!
Dia: Sorry to hear that. As I said above, its brutal out there. Hopefully things turn around. I know I could use some better luck too.

I'm a recruiter/headhunter. I work for a small, local firm - we'll work on just about anything, but we specialize in skilled trades.
I also run a freelance resume writing business on the side.

I'm a college student, studying Game Design & Development, a major ostensibly focused on training skills specifically relevant to videogame design and programming, but I have exactly zero interest in going into that industry for a couple of reasons. I figure that with computer software getting more and more realistic, the use of game-like simulations as training tools (like for military officer training) or engineering aids is on the rise, and game design seems to be the most applicable major to that field. To that end I'm currently working for the federal government and hope I can either turn it into a full-time job when I graduate or use it as resume material to get a job with one of the various security firms in the DC area.

My stage name is Bob Dylan. That's a turn up for books right? And yeah I know they call me Mumble Mouth, it's no biggie.

I'm in the very exciting position of overnight stocking at wal-mart. I don't know how this company is still running.
