First person shooters with enemies that can take more damage than tanks. Example: Chronicles of riddick: escape from butcher bay. I liked the game overall, but the weapon efficiency is riduculous. You can kill a guard with screwdriver, but it needs atleast two shots from shotgun to head to kill them.
That's why I prefer more realistic shooters.
Hehe, I'm playing this one at the moment. Last night I emptied probably three whole clips from the machine gun into Abbott's head. The following cutscene he's not a pulpy mess but merely bleeding and moaning.

ugh, thanks for telling me, so i know to avoid that game like the plague (too bad, too, 'cuz i was interested.) that is one of my least favourite things that FPS games do. it's fucking bullshit.

Don't skip it for that. Honestly, I didn't notice, and you're missing out on way too much fun if you leave the game alone because of that. There's one boss that does have an incredibly large amount of health that was mentioned before, but that's it.
Also, you use the shotgun very little, in favor of more fun and interesting weapons.

You can pretty much rapid fire the shotgun, what difference does it make if two shots into the torso are required to kill the guards? And Heroshima is bullshitting you, one shot more than kills guards if you are close enough and aim for the head. Maybe his aiming could use impovements.
The rest of the weapons are just as effective, one shot from the pistol or the assault rifle in the head will kill all guards. And they can't take too much of a beating if you shoot at some other part of their body.

That reminds me of the Perfect Dark tricks where you can have Cassandra De Vries and Daniel Carrington have bloody faces from being shot up while still apparently acting healthy in cutscenes, possibly with some knives sticking out as well. (You would think that someone would drop dead after taking ONE knife to the face, let alone TEN KNIVES IN A FLESHY PINCUSHION...)
It also reminds me somewhat of Deus Ex, when
you go back from New York to that park and dock place through the subway after meeting up with one of the NSF higher-ups, and get stopped by Gunther Hermann and a bunch of UNATCO grunts. If you choose to resist, you just can't kill him no matter what, so you might as well just surrender. Believe me, I've even tried cheating! (You do get to kill him in that one Templar level, though...but why the hell couldn't I do it earlier in the game?)
Bjossi on 21/8/2007 at 22:24
After I saw all the UNATCO dudes behind Gunther I simply surrendered. No point in even trying with the arsenal you have at that point. :erg:

Meh, just for fun I tricked Gunther and Anna into standing around downstairs and then took out all the troops and bots with explosives. I even moved the barricades so I could get out of the train area. Then I got to run around an empty battery park until I got bored. Wheee.

Didn't you kill Anna? That is possible at that point. (hell, earlier than that)
DaveW on 22/8/2007 at 00:32
I'd love to say "Hah, IW didn't have that", but it did it just as much. I managed to trick the game and got working guns into the Trier tavern, but as much as you shoot people it doesn't do anything.

No, when she took a GEP round I thought she was indestructible so I left her. :p
