Either Thief 1 or STALKER.
Haha, I was thinking of a gameworld where I most definitely would
not want to be stuck in, and STALKER (the first game) was the first thing that came to my mind! :D
Of course it could be because I'm playing it right now (literally), but still, why would anyone want to live there?
The world looks very atmospheric and beautiful in a way, but it's so dead and empty. All the abandoned houses and vehicles and everything. It does bother me a little though that most of these places don't look like anyone ever actually lived there - they should have added a bit more detail in there.
And then you have all those nasty monsters. :(
And and... all these beep-beep-beep-BOOM! mines/anomalies or whatever.
And and and... there doesn't seem to be any women. Not a single one in the whole disaster zone. :erg:

I would like it there because it's so calm and peaceful, except for the occasional cheeki breeki or the bloodsucker hiding in the dark. :p
And playing the guitar with fellow Stalkers by a campfire during a thunderstorm? Priceless.

Universe Sandbox.
OK, that's cheating.
Patrician 3 it is. Knowing me I'd actually die of some kind of banal 15th century ailment if I was there for real.

I'd love to see both a bit of Stark and Arcadia.

Sim City (2013) because I can just sleep in any house even if it's not my own.

That was going to be my answer
As a second choice, possibly minecraft. If singleplayer it could be intolerably lonely and vanilla multiplayer could be hell. However, hard to pass up on those god-like powers once you get established.
