As for the ones I wouldn't want to be stuck in, I'd say Thief 3 (the city's too small and cramped), and Quake 2 (depressing, desolate planet)

Dune (there was a game :p ). Or Baldur's Gate, just because I always wanted to eat a Mustard Jelly. Or Ivalice, or Nosgoth... Being stuck in Silent Hill would be kinda nice too, in a way :p .
Well, it's really difficult to decide since many video game worlds are fascinating (and super-dangerous). If I were to choose just one, I'd probably set for the world in Suikoden games. Suikoden's world is a nice mixture of Asian (mainly Chinese) and European cultures tinged with a bit of fantasy. And though there's usually a war going on, when there's none, it's a pretty neat place ;) .

This isn't the gameworld you'd like to send someone else to, Sulphur.

Isn't it? Because I wouldn't mind sending ThiefGen to the ReThief setting.

Syndicate. I just love the cyberpunk style setting with people walking around with bionic brains seeing completely different versions of the real world compared to how it actually looked.
If not that then System Shock as that's a close second.

If I say Hotline Miami does that mean I'm, err, like cuuuurazzzy?
No, it just means you're Alchemist.

Assuming I have to be myself or an otherwise average character, probably Pokemon. No/minimal risk of being murdered, easy ways to make money, a world where the ideal living is that of a worry-free traveler chasing cute animals and hot parasol ladies, etc. If for whatever reason I am closer to the protagonist in terms of ability, I'd probably pick Lands of Lore. Ignoring the occasional evil witch and demigod holocaust and giant spider invasion, it seems like a nice place to live. I could eat two-headed panther meat all day and pick berries when lazy, there are many purty mystical towers and ruins to explore and find shiny objects from, and the small-town world makes it seem much cleaner than the worlds of, say, Baldur's Gate and Planescape: Torment (although both of those would be amazing too).
