It's easy to think of worlds you would not like to be a part of. Dead Space and Silent Hill come to mind for starters. Super Meat Boy would be the worst. :D
Kirby's world would be fun. GTA Vice City comes to mind as well. DayZ would be ok for something that has to be dangerous. I think my final answer would be Arcanum, because it has magic, tech, steampunk, various races and vast world.

I'd want it to be a third person perspective game. Would be hell to live inside a FPP universe where the simple act of reaching into your back pocket would leave you stricken from the sudden loss of sensation in your arms as they dissolved into a non-rendered void.
Isometric would also be ok. Tiled-based stuff would also be great with regards to planning journey times etc, so long as you knew all of the parameters. I imagine that would make it quite simple to get a lot done with your time. Maybe I could even write that book.

Or a turn-based walk along the edge of an estuary on a summer's day, pausing only to throw a few crumbs to the gulls, take in the splendour of the setting sun or to replenish your APs.
