What happens between return to the cathedral and escape.
This is the only bit of thief that made me think WTF?!?!?
One minute your doing chores for that priest guy and then you blow your way out of there and garrett mumbles something about finding out that guys plan with the eye and the next minute your looking over a balcony weaponless at weird rat things.
There was no video in between for me, is there meant to be one?

Yes, there is indeed meant to be a video. Did you get the videos between the other missions before this?

Yeah. You missed the most important and greatest cutscene in the trilogy. And although those tails make them resemble rats--a common misperception--they are apebeasts.
Go into the "Movies" folder on and play the cs11.avi followed by b12.avi.
Is this the only time you didn't get a briefing before a mission, and/or cutscene?

I'd also like to add that you should check the FAQ for how to fix the movies.

Thanks for the help guys. Indeed i found this odd as all videos have played so far on my machine without any tweaking and i havent changed any real settings since. But i seen it and it was cool, gotta keep playing to find out what happens
