I’ve seen Bombshell, it was also illuminating in that respect indeed. John Lithgow was massively sleazy in it, gave me the willies, especially because it’s based on real events.

Yeah, it's really good. This episode was solid. I haven't bothered with any of the other SW bs over the years, other then the films (which are all dreadful apart from R1 and, surprisingly, Solo) so all that stuff goes over my head. I don't need it though. Hicks was cool to see, yes.

Last week I started watching (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tick_(2016_TV_series)) The Tick. I found it surprisingly entertaining. I somewhat like Peter Serafinowicz, but the main reason I gave it a go was because I used to watch (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tick_(2001_TV_series)) The Tick with Patrick Warburton. At first I was a bit disappointed with the new show, but once I got into it, I think it might actually be the better of the two. It would be fun though to see Warburton do the lead in the new show instead, just for his over-the-top cluelessness.

I don't know if they are available in every country but YouTube is running James Bond movies in the 'free with ads' section in the USA. If you're interested in the old Bond movies they are there.

Relevant to today's news. It's your chance to see the Arecibo Observatory back in its glory days.

"For England, James?"
"No. For me."

DEVS was a repeat of a conversation we had on here. It was just in more of a story form. I think they are listening to us for ideas. I still hold to the singular perspective angle. The ending for this could never truly be. Sure, when we sleep we are breaking consciousness but I maintain we are still this perspective and it is non transferable. You can remake me in every detail but one. It isn't me though it thinks it is. When this perspective ends it is no more. I would be happy to be proven wrong and am unsure of repeating a loop in space time but it's still non transferable to a machine replication.

I never saw the end of DEVS (got bored) but I remember that conversation!
Maybe I should watch the rest of it..
So, the latest Mandalorian.
Only one question - at this point aren't the Stormtroopers still all Jango Fett clones? If so, they REALLY missed a trick.

You're not already a machine replication?
What if the "real you" came along wanting himself back from you?
SubJeff on 5/12/2020 at 10:26
You'd have discuss why. What is it that he would want exactly? His soul back, or just his uniqueness?
