What if pigs could fly.
They can. You just have to kick their asses hard enough.:ebil:

How about a Thief themed kart racing game?
Oh, wait.
Reminds you of (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57663) something?:ebil:
How about a soccer game?:cheeky: We already have a number of teams, but they must be informed about the "Fair play" rules:
The nobles (bribing other teams' members is not allowed)
The City guards (bows and swords prohibited on the playfield)
Ramirez guards (no swords, please)
The Hammers (no hammers allowed on the playfield, only Hammers!)
The Mechanists (no maces or robot cannons, of course)
The Keepers (may not throw books at their opponents)
The Pagans (summoning creatures or opening portals forbidden)
The Undead (spells, swords etc. not allowed)
The mages (no spells please, we're gentlemen)
Freelance thieves (stealing the ball not allowed)
An additional rule for the Pagans: Treebeasts are not allowed as goalkeepers, they would just place themselves before the goal and block it completely.:cheeky:
Oh yes, no faction may call for divine intervention. No Builder, no Trickster, no Karras.
And
no one is allowed to annoy (or put to sleep) other teams by producing lengthy babblings about the Builder, the Balance, ssssneaksie manfools, joinig us or whatever!

Also, we can already play basketball in Thief :cheeky: (the Blooper Reel mission in TG)

Platform: Fun for kids as you play Burrick Island Adventure. It´s like Yoshi but with barfs.
:laff: *Clap* :laff:
THIS one got me for some reason. :cheeky:
The "Drunken Hero" one is great too. I'd name my group "The Sneaksie Thief Experience"; Have Benny and his buddy (Jored?) in the band; maybe Garrett on Bass? lol.
Don't know about the "Thief Sims" one. I mean, it's the one time you WANT to see the burglar break into your home -- but then Garrett would just get past all your traps and rob you of all your money: "Game Over". Heh.
I'm surprised we had a couple of people taking it even a bit seriously. I thought it was hilarious, and would that I could make flash games.... Also too, are not some of the Thief FMs out there already not covering some of those "scifi, cyberpunk, cold war, ninja, etc." themes now? I vaguely remember a "ninja" themed FM or two from some of our Far Eastern Taffers.
Y'know, this makes me think it'd be kinda funny if some Taffers pulled something similar to one of the somethingawful.com picture contests with mock Thief spin-off gamebox covers. I'd probably play a "Garrett Keeper PGA 2009" golf game. :cheeky:
Or maybe a Madden style football game with Karras or some bloisterous Hammerite doing Madden style play-by-plays. Karras: "Bam! Tough actin' Tinactin!" :laff:
Just sayin'. :cheeky:

I guess you didn't mention a stats-&-party based traditional CRPG set in the Thief universe because that would actually be a
good idea? ;)
Amen.
Tim Stellmach himself said that Thief would be a natural fit for a traditional crpg. Damn I wish Tim could lead the "Thief IV" project...

Classic CRPG parties are fine.
Althought if you really think about it how does a thief that walks with a giant warrior, a robed mage and an armored cleric manages to stealth around ?

He/she has a t-shirt with the "I'm not with them" sign printed on it. They call it "social stealth".

Lol, a classic D&D question. People always wonder what the thief class is supposed do.
I gather it could reconnaissance in front of the party and report back, or break in and get something on little side-trips. If it's a party of thieves, though, then that's a different story.

Double cross your buddies ala the "reality" shows, steal the loot and turn them in to the City Watch. :ebil:

As truly clever as all that was, there is obviously a wealth of single player crpgs... ;)

I had nightmares this evening. On a blacksmith's table I saw several weapons with little labels saying: "Rusty Dagger -- Dagger -- Short Sword -- Long Sword - A-little-longer-sword -- Broad Sword -- Pagan Sabre (poisened!) -- Hammerite Officer's Sword (Undead Bonus)"
