Thanks for that itllrun10s (btw, is it a bike or car that will run 10s?). I guess I am getting too lazy to read lists :nono: I don't think I have every tried his before. This will give me something to do whilst I wait for more new FMs. HipBreaker's recent FM was only 2 days of fun.
I concur with the other lists offered - especially the Rocksbourg series. I'm about 1/2 way through mission two on that one (replay). It's been a few years since the last time, so parts are new to me again. I'm going to copy the other suggestions here and make sure I have not played them already.
Something I also agree with... try out some of the earliest missions first. The ones that are less than a few MB. Some are just silly awful, while others are little gems. Don't forget thinks like the crap contest either. I played many of the crap missions and almost peed my pants from laughing :joke: Anyway, my point is an FM does not have to be a masterpiece to be fun. Play some of the little ones and you'll have a greater appreciation for the larger FMs.

It's a Mustang I used to own. With the one I have now, my username should be itllrunlow12s. Ha!

Well that is still better than me. My semi-hot rodded C4 would do about 13. My current ride would be luck to break 14. Thanks again for the tip on BBB. Play his 1st two games yesterday and today. Warning for those that do play his games, he like to give high alert to AI. You cannot hide and bop them front on. They will always notice you even in complete dark. Makes for a little more strategic game play. Some nice missions so far.

There is no single "must play" mission, but there are very many high quality missions that beat out the OMs in everything except for perhaps having the Thief OM style briefings. It's a shame I think that this community (as well as Dark Mod, some great missions there too) doesn't have as much exposure as there's literally hundreds of hours of great gameplay made by the authors of these missions. I can give a list of some of the T2 missions that I rated highly in DarkLoader/FMsel, though. In no means a complete list especially because I don't have some of my old files on hand.
Broken Triad
Bathory - The Campaign
Being Thief
Exile - Being Thief 2
Ashes and Dust
The Affairs of Wizards
The Seven Sisters
A Better Tomorrow
L`Arsene series
The Black Frog
Cryptic Realms (both versions are worth a play! Minor differences between them besides just B&W and color)
Better off Dead (2nd mission is amazing!)
Cell 6
Dark Messiah
The Unseen
The Dead of Winter
Ominous Bequest
Deceptive Perception and Deceptive Perception 2
All Torc
Dracula - Reloaded
A Debt Repaid
Heist Society
Keyhunt
Upside Down
Rose Cottage
The Favour
Memoirs of a Dead God
Resonance
The Last Lighthouse Keeper
From Beneath the Sands
Lingering Whispers
The Circle of Stone and Shadow 2: Mission X
Transitions in Chaos: Conspiracies in the Dark
Memento Mori 2: Vagabond (the first one is okay, too)
Sturmdrang Peak
A Night in Rocksbourg 1-3
The Temple of the Tides
When Still...
The Abandoned Castle
The Drymian Codex
Coterie of Smokers, Abysses, Bloody Ruins (Lady Lotti series)
Eclipsed (this has weird jerky performance issues due to engine limitations, unfortunately...)
Unholy Vivid Innocence
Whispers in the Desert
Zealot's Hollow
The Curse
Any way you look at it, lots to keep you busy. Especially if you go into playing Dark Mod.
The haunted part of the crypt was pretty scary compared to most Thief horror themed stuff, to be honest. The way that enemy works was very well done and the message that appears when you enter his area was also great. I remember seeing a few scripted events like that message in Deceptive Perception 2, maybe? Either way I was on edge exploring that haunted crypt trying to find loot and objectives in it since it was hard to know exactly where the enemy was or if it could even see me until I played around with it on my 2nd play using save/load to figure out how exactly it worked. Great effect with the torches, too.
Drymian Codex was probably my favorite single T1G/T2 mission of 2013, I think. Lot of small areas pieced together before the hammer church each with their own things. I also liked Cell 6 and Resonance as great short missions. While Sturmdrang Peak was my favorite campaign.
This thread died a couple months ago and ppl just started reposting recently, so I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner. Gunna rock a few thief mission tonight. Since I first posted this I've played most missions posted before June, including the Black Frog (which was amazing). Some that I was rly hyped for were: Drymian Codex (crashes everytime I run it) and the Bathory campaign (starts but the screen is just black)
Out of your list, I haven't heard of or played:
Being Thief
Exile - Being Thief 2
Ashes and Dust
The Affairs of Wizards
A Better Tomorrow
Dracula - Reloaded
A Debt Repaid
Unholy Vivid Innocence
Whispers in the Desert
Zealot's Hollow
When Still...
The Abandoned Castle
Better off Dead
Dark Messiah
The Unseen
The Favour
Memoirs of a Dead God
Resonance
The Last Lighthouse Keeper
From Beneath the Sands
Lingering Whispers
The Circle of Stone and Shadow 2: Mission X
Transitions in Chaos: Conspiracies in the Dark
Memento Mori 2: Vagabond
So like 60% of them :joke:, so hard to pick just from the names...gunna look into them a little more and tell you which ones I'll play next. (I'm just finishing Broken Triad right now)
Thanks to you and everyone else who kept posting new stuff :thumb:!
BTW - I just picked up a copy of Thief Deadly Shadows for original Xbox (which I've been playing when I'm not on Halo 2 with XBC) and it's different, but pretty cool, any of you guys played it?

It just occurred to me that maybe the briefing movie is formatted in such a way that it crashes your game. You might try installing the mission, then going into your T2 folder and look in the \movies folder for the briefing, which is b20.avi, and either rename or delete it. Then try starting the mission and see if you avoid the crash. Aside from that, I assume you're running NewDark v1.21?

Damn Russ...the briefing movie is the best part of the mission!:p

Thanks Yandros, was a good idea, but it didn't work for me :grr:
No biggie, looks like I'll just have to kill myself.
