Actually, at Looking Glass we always used to joke that it looked like a parrot. And, to be honest, there was never any great love for the logo, for the simple fact that it's just plain wrong. A telescope is a "spy glass" -- a "looking glass" is a mirror (as in Alice in Wonderland). D'oh!

Parrot > Baluga whale (although I was personally rooting for the whale).
I didn't mind the telescope ... a little less pretentious than a parrot looking in a mirror, preening and admiring itself. At least he is still, uh, *looking* at something through a *glass*. :erg:
