Well.. it isn't Electronic Arts offering Refunds through Origin if you don't want to keep the game you purchased.
First time I've ever heard of refunds though a digital distrubution service. Google does it through Google play, but I don't think a graphing calculator that you didn't quite like fits into the same category as having buyers remorse for the new $60 AAA title that sucks.

The Origin Great Game Guarantee
You may return EA full game digital downloads (PC/Mac) purchased on Origin for a full refund within 24 hours after you first launch the game, within seven days from your date of purchase or within seven days from the game's release date if you pre-ordered, whichever comes first. This is in addition to your standard return or refund rights.
Honestly.. I'm not sure why people are harping on EA as much lately, it's not the EA of yesteryear and it's nowhere near as bad as Activision is these days.

Even bashing Activision is kind of pointless in the face of Ubisoft. Ubisoft's logo is a stylized, purple anus, shitting on all their customers.

Thank you for the mental image. I'll imagine that each time I see the Ubisoft logo

You know, that sparked a memory. Back in 1986, I actually wrote Terry Gilliam a letter regarding Brazil. A few months later, I received a letter back from T.G. on letterhead for his production company: Poo Poo Pictures. Now just think about this--about how funny it must have been to Gilliam to have all these stuffy studio heads and corporate dinks sitting around a table, discussing the latest Poo Poo Pictures film, the Poo Poo Pictures budget, what Poo Poo Pictures projects are in the future.
Brilliant!
Anyway, the logo was that of a friar-like attired man climbing a ladder of film, with an arrow sticking out of his bottom. I'll have to dig up the letter one of these days (it's tucked away somewhere for safe keeping...but I have no idea where) and post it.

In order to drive this thread further off course: what was your letter about? Unabashed praise? The pipe sabotage/shit explosion scene? Why Pryce was picked as a protagonist when he made such a compelling villain in Tomorrow Never Dies and Ronin?????
And a bit back on course: I hope EA's move becomes an industry standard. Twenty-four hours seems like a decent amount of time to figure out if you are utterly repulsed by the game or if it's a keeper.

I'm not sure people are hating EA more than usual. Most of it is just inertia, I think. Although, the Humble Origin Bundle seems to have brought out a lot of people who say that EA is not that bad, really, so it may be a reaction to that.

I'm not really up to date with current events, but I know that a few years back they hired a new CEO who said things would change. As far as I can tell he kept his promise, assuming he is still the man at the job.
I harp on Activision because of what they did to infinity ward, things seemed to have gone down hill from there. And I'm so so so very happy that id was bought up by zenimax and no longer has to deal with them.

It was one of those awful fan letters that only a sixteen-year-old dink could write, in which I lamented the lack of recognition the Academy Awards gave the film after such a public battle had been fought over its release.
And the shit explosion scene, of course. That sucker changed my life.

Anyway, I thought this whole thing came about because of the Simcity debacle?
