It would be hard for me to pick a favorite, there have been so many good ones. There is one that I really like but I can't remember the mission it's in, though I am pretty sure it is a famous mission, something like Broken Triad for example. But there is an invisible AI that follows you around and you can hear his footsteps occasionally. If you stop suddenly you'll hear him take a few extra steps sometimes. I managed to blackjack him and pick him up and the carry pic says Easter Egg Ghost or something like that.
Another one I really like is the one in Turcaill's Evirath's Misery. It's just so pretty. :D I wish she was still making FMs. I think she had a real gift.

And in the very first post , it's from Greenbay.
I'm not sure they can be considered easter eggs, but I really like when there are hidden references to TTLG members or to other fan-missions.
Like the dewdrop doll that you can find in almost every mission, I'm not sure why but it refers to Gloria Creep to me.

Thanks. Sorry I forgot it was in that mission. It's been a long time since I played it. It was pretty cool to actually blackjack him and see the carry pic.

Tell that to Purah for the Ultimate Easter egg of a 100 fire arrows. My favorite. Midnight at Murkbell? Oh hell my mind is failing me.
Yeah, Purah, the same guy who in Calendra's Legacy forced the player to find a specific room in an entire city that they've never been to before under a strict time limit or the mission failed, then forced them to perform tasks all over the city with no blackjack, then as soon the player got a blackjack, made it useless by flooding the city with un-KOable monsters, then forced the player to perform an arduous side quest to have any means of defending himself.
The guy could build, but when it came to player objectives, he was a complete ass.

I have to agree with ZB on Murkbell. I actually quit playing in disgust right after the undead arrived, and didn't come back to finish it (or play mission 3) for about 10 years.

Oh yeah... I never did actually finish mission 3. Got as far as the Keeper Library, saw that it was another ghosting-fest, gave up.

I dunno, I got to that room under the 'strict time limit' on my first try (the player map is detailed and helpful, and early on, you don't bump into too many AI patrols), and appreciated the rest of the mission for being a harder challenge. The waterways usually gave you a way to escape if you got into trouble, and your main objectives could be approached from multiple ways. IIRC the Keepers in the third part could be knocked out or killed at your leisure, but I may be misremembering. If there was a frustrating mission in that pack, it was the first one with its insta-fail restrictions.
Anyway, easter eggs: my recent favourite is the insta-crate you can get by climbing out of the world's boundaries in the second part of The Widow's Ire.

I have to agree. On my first full play through of this the most challenging part for me was finding the eyes; I spent hours looking for them. After I found
the one in the garden I definitely felt accomplished. Midnight in Murkbell was pretty crazy awesome.

"The Mirror" by Zontic has 4 or 5 easter eggs. One being a blackjack that can KO metal head guards. Extremely difficult because of all the weird and sometimes clever things added to the mission.
