you can only pic one type
cant wait to see what people like the most

Yeah, that ones are very fun.
I love missions that involves a hidden history, with a good plot. Discovering a murder, etc.

I always enjoy it when fan missions incorporate some sort of "collect-em-all" scavenger hunt.
While I suppose this does apply to things like loot, pickpockets, and secrets, I like it even better when you're encouraged to do the scavenger hunt just for the heck of it. It could be a sidequest, like the Tarot cards in "Rose Cottage," or it could even be the focus of the FM, like the Christmas decorations in "A Thief's Holiday 2004."
Of course, the more objects there are to find, and the harder they are to find, the better. I can't resist a good challenge! :ebil:

Fan missions with a plot twist! They are so good, I love unexpected situations. I can't remember the name of that one fan mission I played like 6 years ago maybe, where you had to meet a person, and when you got to his place, you discovered him beheaded lying on the bed under a sheet.

FD, This ist Broken Triad, 1st mission.
I like the Bonehoard-style mission like Sepulchre Of The Sinistral.

Cemetery/Graveyard/Horror/Tombs/Catacombs/Crypts/Undead/Zombies/Ghosts/Haunted Places/Adventure/Custom Resources Missions.
Don't like Pagan/Forest/Ape/Mechanist stuff.

For me nothing better than a big mansion with different (secret, maybe magic) environments which you encounter when discovering some dark family secrets. Generally I prefer indoor missions.

I like missions with active plot, variety in gameplay, and surprises in both. That's why Broken Triad is just perfect for me :)

My ideal mission format is eepcat's The Uninvited Guest - good sense of progression, clear objectives, good pacing, visual and environmental variety and scale, lots of exploration, sense of accomplishment all throughout the mission and at the end, not too hard and not too easy, suspense at times. My least favorite format is mansions with hundred doors where you have no idea where you are supposed to be going and quests from the worst traditions of oldschool adventure games. I usually don't bother looking online because it breaks immersion and point in playing.

I just *love* city missions! This is by far my favorite genre, although I play everything that comes out.
Preferably with lots of "spatial" gameplay, secret passages, hidden crypts/necromancer lairs and warring factions or intrigues.
Thankfully lots of authors produce stuff like those but some of the best ones are IMHO from Melan, Purah, Bikerdude, DrK and Morrgan (and I definitely missed several others so please excuse me...).
I also love original/creative stuff like the ones produces from Gaetane, Uncadonego or Yandros for example. Variety!
Some examples in no particular order: Horns of Canzo, Waterfront Racket, Equilibrium etc.
Super-detailed stuff like "Mission X" (which probably belongs to the mansion genre) often becomes a favorite, regardless of genre.
Least favorite genre: Horror - not because I'm scared but because I'm *not*! ;-)
The kind of horror that I like is stuff like in Exorcist or just plain simple perverted alternate realities like in "Rocksbourg 3 - Ink and Dust" or "Rose Cottage", which I think are outstanding missions.
I also don't need missions that resember cheap horror flics with lots of jump scares like something falling down or flying at you when you open a door. I'm not blaming whole missions here but rather only some elements as there is often enough stuff to keep me playing.
