I've heard of Milo before, but what is the point of "hyperlocal" games?

National manager for a product at a niche insurance company who specialises in heavy vehicle transport (prime movers etc). I'm responsible for around half the company's income performing profitably so pricing and underwriting are the key things I spend the majority of my time on, which is good because I'm forced to be macro and micro pretty much all the time. Other responsibilities are things like policy wordings, improving our insurance system, devolving authorities from head office to regional branches, improving skills and mentoring, and driving a new audit regime to lift quality control. In addition to all of that I'm currently the lead on a 3-5 year project designed to totally change our analytical approach within the company, moving to statistical modelling and actuarial techniques being applied in our pricing. As if that wasn't enough I'm being nagged to do an MBA at the moment and struggling with the decision, but I know if I do it I'm more or less guaranteed a place on our exec team in the next 3-5 years.

No job currently, but in about a month I'll hopefully be doing workstation installation and maintenance for an IT supplier. I would like to eventually work my way into network administration.

And your references, Mr Taffer?
That's impressive and all, but *I* play poker on the Internet

It's not exactly a brag to say you work in the riveting world of insurance.

Lawyer. Corporate consulting, mergers&acquisitions, tax optimization and many more sophisticated words. Fortunately this consulting business doesn't demand me to be a corporate whore or something.
Before that - a state inspector for 6 years (cultural heritage preservation control for 4 years, then control of mass communications for 3 years). Tiny salary but lots of fun and experience.
