in thief 3 only things you can pick up is loot or special items,everything else is a forced in hand carry item,i have thief 3 played it at least 5 times 100% and nothing i remember that was cool to get as far as items
thief 1/gold/2 are the real thief games thief 3 would have been accepted if the game engine was more like thief 2,that next gen junk ruined thief in my view,and that is why thief 3/tdm/new thief are not on list

You might not remember any interesting items in TDS, but I'm sure other players (myself included) can think of items they liked in that game.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_true_Scotsman) Wikipedia article). TDS may be the least popular of the trilogy, and it may not run on the Dark Engine, but that doesn't make it a "fake" Thief game.
I don't see any reason to exclude TDS, T2X, and TDM items from this thread. Just my two cents.
Anyways, here's a small list of items I like to find in FMs:
- Horn of Quintus
- Elemental Talismans
- Explosive charge / sunburst device
- Any of the five large custom gemstones (diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald, & amethyst)
- Cat statuette
- Keeper unlocking ring

I missed the Scouting Orb in a lot of the recent missions, since it's really useful for exploring highly lit areas. So, finding it (or even the possibility of buying it) makes me happy.

i also like the 3 coil snakes in gold,silver and brass,but i am not sure if those are cannon?
i use to like star burst device but seems like when you find them now no real good use for them,they should be used in more secrets
and please let me know what decent items are from thief 3
from what i recall,its gear/arrows/loot and special loot,if someone says ohh my fav item is laurels blood in the container from the cradle you know they just trolling
and i do know about the jacknaws paw and the chalice/etc,but that is more main storyline stuff,i just dont see t3 items as memorable as t1,gold/t2

1) Custom paintings
2) Custom gadgets (i.e. the acid used in The Eye of the Gems: Shadow and Fog)
3) A lantern
4) The scouting orb
5) Rope arrows
6) The crossbow from Dracula Reloaded
7) Custom Monsters - TROB 2 had plenty of them
