Searches on the forum and looking through their different websites and blogs haven't turned up any results, so I bring my curiosity to you guys.
Seeing as Imperium is set fifty years before Thief, it seems at bit odd to take control of yet another thief who lived back then and also had super-sneaky skills and were a thorn in the Hammers' side. But then again, it is a Thief project, so a non-sneaky approach to the gameplay is simply unthinkable. So how is it going to be handled then? Has anything yet been released on what type of character you are supposed to be? What kind of gameplay we are looking at? A sneaky Hammerite? Yet another Thief? A Pagan spy? A ghost!? A Maw monster? Or something entirely else?
Anybody know anything?

I don't really know anything about it either, honestly.
But if it takes place 50 years before Thief - isn't that when the Old Quarter disaster happened?
Perhaps you spend the game playing as Brother Murus, telling other Hammers to go get stuff for you :laff:

I used to be on the team, but that was a couple years ago and I'm sure the story has been changed around a bit.
I don't want to give away any details (I'm sure Alexius would love that), but IIRC you
take the role of a Hammerite
and the end of the game reveals some rather striking information leading up to TDP!

You know any juicy details?!
Its not very nice saying A without telling B. I don't mind spoilers at all. And if you're afraid of even putting it under blue tags, then just PM me! Come on! Tell me the ridiculous leadup. I don't mind! Please! GBM and Dave are the only ones I suppose have external access to the PM system and they are both grown, patient men (or so I hope at least, since they're my admins...). They probably won't peek. Much less spill the info to anyone.
And me, well, I can keep a secret. Just like the one I've been keeping about my friends sister who....oh, right. That is a secret. But anyway, the admins get to ban me if I reveal anything. How 'bout that?
There can't possibly be any legal issues involved here, seeing as it is a fan project. I doubt you signed any sort of contract or anything, right?
So, will you tell???

ok....;)

Why don't you people just wait a few weeks/months/<strike>years</strike> and see for yourself :laff:

I'm trying to put this in a nice way.
That's not the point. In a FM project, legal bindings aren't what make you shut up about it. It's about trust, people wanted to be part of the project, without any desire for payment, and they don't just go violating that trust on a whim.
Actually that's not a very good way of putting it, but I think it conveys the basic message: there is no way is anyone going to leak any information.

...Unless Karl Rove is involved

I won't say anything against that, but my point remains. There are no
legal issues to consider, only social and personal ones.

Yes, except that you were the one who brought it up and nobody was contending there might be legal issues in the first place. Making your point rather irrelevant.
