That is my understanding as well; it has the potential for some good stories. Your reason for going on the mission can be "protect the interests of my employer" which is a bit more interesting than "the rent is due."

I can see what you are getting at, but in my experience ther are no obvious connections between beeing curious in the extreme and untrustworthy. Lets just say Im a person who enjoys hearing gossip, but is both unwilling and poorly qualified in spreading it. But as you said, how can one indeed know such things?
