While we still speculate about the fate of Thief series and whether there will be Thief 4 blah blah blah... I'd like to ask - what kind of missions would you like to see in Thief 4?
As for me :
1. A rooftop mission like "Party". This is something that was not present in Thief - Deadly Shadows. The city architecture in Thief - Deadly Shadows was poor in my opinion.
2. A huge mansion FM, not spoiled by loading zones or something like that. Something like Truart's mansion or Moira's mansion (without loading zones)...
3. I'd like to see the good old Hammerites once again...
I DON'T like to see:
1. Horror missions like the Cradle, but I don't mind a few haunts and zombies
2. Missions with modern feeling (I didn't like the robots in Thief 2 in the beginning, but I got accustomed to them)

The outer edge of the City where it meets wilderness.
Maybe even a forest with a canopy so thick that it blocks all of the moonlight, leaving you to follow a trail with a lantern.
A reasonably sized inner city park.
The docks WITH swimmable water.
A burrick farm? (I don't know. Maybe the belching gas has some kind of industrial use.)
Another mansion belonging to an eccentric.

Yeah definitely no horror/too esoteric missions like the craddle aka "trapped in the spooky dimension". But scary missions like the catherdral are ok.
A nice balance between city missions and missions that take place in derelict places like lost city.
I want big missions, some should have twists like in T2, where your objectives change according to developments which take place during it.
Also a must is the mission-diversity shown in T1,2 - I liked ie the undercover mission in the hammerite base.
Maybe we could have a return to 1 or 2 places we already visited - maybe angelwatch, cathedral...

All the games have those, like Assassins, and The Shalebridge Cradle, but more of those would be nice, yes.

I'd like to see a return to the ruins of Soulforge, for example..

Yes. See what's left after the dismantling, and what the Keepers may have done to keep the secret technology of the Precursors and Mutox formula from being discovered again, or too soon.

I like to mess with the world's timeline and mix today's tech with medieval stuff :) It adds more contrast to an already messed-up world.
-Standard mansion mission, but a race against another group of thieves. (More challenge since thieves are in the house)
-Infiltrate a city planning office in an the commercial district, in order to steal some maps. (New architecture, medieval "skyscrapers", offices, and steampunk "neon signs")
-Rooftop daylight mission with an objective to get to a client that's leaving town. (Crowd in the streets, no shadows to hide in)
-Infiltrate a criminal underground steampunk nightclub during a "mardi gras" -style costume party. (Streets filled with party folk, costume needed to get into the club)
-Job in a snowy mountain town (Footprints make extra challenge)
-Job at the sea, rob a nobility casino cruiser during a pirate hostage-crisis. (Yarr... Where did all the money go?)
-Job in the countryside, steal valuable narcotics and drug money from a drug lord's country villa (Fresh air, crickets singing)

The missions we will see really depend on what the main antagonist will be (in Thief 1 we had Constantine, then we had Truart and Karras in Thief 2, Keeper Gamall AKA The Hag in Thief 3) and what the main protagonist will be (Garrett?). If we have an entirely new faction like the Mechanist, we may see many churches (like that we saw in Thief 2).

I'd like to see a campaign set 50-100 years in the future, with new tech and a general ignorance to the events of the other games (but with clues scattered throughout). The Hammers and Pagans still exist but each is now more advanced, the Keepers are a faded out group, still alive but nowhere near as powerful. For missions:
A scary tomb mission (what would Thief be without some heath contact with the undead?)
A big Hammerite cathedral mission (maybe they built upon the ruins of Soulforge and your mission takes you down beneath the compound to where Karras' children still lurk about [slip in a certain golden cherub?]
A Paganish forest mission taking place near the outside of the City's walls
At least one B&E mansion mission, preferably more
A City streets mission (done right, like the T2 streets, not the DS ones)

Oh... aren't the Keepers completely gone and Garrett is the one true keeper?
