I don't mind the potions though. As long as they are very, very expensive or very limited in number they make for interesting play. Slow fall when you need to escape a tall tower for example, or speed to just gtf away from a zombie hoard for example.
I was thinking that for every effect the shroom has, it takes something away. The time effects stop you from moving, the seeing sound cuts out your real sound so you cannot hear things behind you (but you can see that sound waves are coming from around a corner) and so on.
