I feel this is an important question.
Would you like to see more fantasy elements in Thief 4: For example Zombies, Elementals, Ghosts, Magic, Stone statues, etc... ?
Or do you prefer more realistic settings - breaking into castles and mansions, trying to sneak past guards, Hammer guards (but not mystical priests with their spells)?
Or you'd like to see a mix between realism and fantasy?

A mix of course: Thief is nothing without levels like the Bonehoard, but also nothing without Life of the Party. It's for a part the mix that makes Thief so good.

I would've voted if there were options like "more inclined to fantasy" or rather "down-to-earth realism". :erg: Now it's like: black, white, grey (Thief) and WTF.
Still, thanks for bringing it up. One of my favourites! :sly:

I voted anyhow, but agree BC.
Since TDP introduced zombies & haunts as being part of the Thief world, I guess many consider those nasties to be integral to Thief now.
*sighs* I would prefer a game more based on reality (there's a surprise, right? ;) ), but not just because of my abhorrence for the supernatural creatures. For me Thief was mainly about thieving; stealth, surveillance, planning heists, etc.
Oh yeah; and occasionally KO'ing adversarial AI. :cheeky:

A well-balanced mix is always best. Don't overdo the mystical element, the undead and monsters.

A realistic fantasy world--things and abilities have to exist for a plausible reason (not because it sounded cool).
That's why I always hated the "eyeball plants".

What she said. Undead, pagan creatures, elementals etc. can be good for spicing up the game, but to me, thieving, heists and human opponents are the bread and butter of Thief. Which is why I prefer TMA to TDP.

I hated the 'slurping' kind of sounds they made. Like someone's entrails being sloshed around. Gave me the willies.

I just interpreted the poll my way and voted for the first. :p The plants weren't a big thing for me, being "Pagan plants" was enough context to assess them in some way. Arrows with afterburner are different. :sly:
Looks like Dia and I could still become fast friends. ;)
