I think Bones was intended to be a series (as it's titled episode 1) and it was an excellent mission so would have been nice to see it continued.
A
lso I think Transitions in Chaos Part 1 - Conspiracies in the Dark was intended to be a series. That's one of my favourite FMs of all time and it would have been nice to see it continued.Best mansion atmosphere EVER.

The one I would have loved to finish is
Seven Shades of Mercury! That one mission really blew me away  it had a Great story, new objects.
Oh yes - that would be another pick of mine. One of my favourites and is often replayed. Would have been an amazing campaign.

No it was mentioned years ago. :D
I don't recall why the original authors of Seven Shades of Mercury gave up on the mission, but a handful of authors including myself were asked to fix a few issues and release the mission. I doubt if the original author would be interested in continuing that series.
btw downwinder, the Love Story series was completed with Love Story V Part 2. Even though it was the only part of the series to not have really happened in real life, I made it just to get the series over with. :)

This may be a long list from my side.
First of all, back in the mid-2000s, I really really loved to check out the then often updated upcoming missions megathread. Among them, there were a daylight winter pirate (what a setup!!) mission with a pirate ship frozen into a bay and with actual, living pirates. The author even paid attention to cover part of their faces due to the cold weather. Then the mission was never released in this form. Also there were one called Winter Harvest, which was a ruined winter kind of mission, with incredible atmosphere, and I doubt that it was ever made. And also, there was a daylight, desert/arabian kind of mission with a huge temple in a sandy area by Beauty Man, that never saw daylight. When I saw these teaser screenshots, I always felt like an excited kid in a good way.
As for actual series that would be great to be continued:
Sceptre of Dor Amal Part I
The Ashen Age
COSAS Mission X
Tales from the Cleft
Mystery of the Upper quarter (probably it's not even lost)
A Night In Rocksbourg (Can you believe that the part 3, Ink and Dust was 14 years ago?!) by the mastermind DrK
...and a new part for Seven shades of mercury!

Since this has already been brought up but the only two memorable unfinished campaigns that left me with a "what if" impression were Seven Shades of Mercury which originally was suppose to be a campaign
like wonder what kind of story was going to be told for us considering it started in a setting of Hammerite teams competing against each other and with sponsors watching behind the scenes, kinda almost reminds me of the film series The Hunger Games.
The second memorable unfinished campaign were the scary A Night In Rocksbourg series, wonder how the story was suppose to end like given how crazy twisted it got turned into for us players to experience.
With all this said I do feel content and very grateful for all the missions that took a lot of time to get released and rarely do I dwell into the "what if" thoughts myself. :)

Rocksbourg or Ruins of Originia for me.

Silence: Part 2 was apparently nearly complete, but then was abandoned by the author for unknown reasons. Silence: Part 1 is one of my favorite T3 FMs.

I don't remember if the series was completed or not but it would be great to see the Bestest FM series continue.
