A while back I had this idea of Forumites sharing their Thiefy experience by posting what mission they are playing. Well I decided to resurrect this zombie thread :laff: with part 2.
Currently I am playing The Bonehoard on Hard in T:G and haven't really gotten far into it. Frankly I'm not looking forward to it.Zombies and the insane difficulty that was placed on T1's early levels is scaring me away.
While T1 is a good game, it's never going to be my favorite in the series because of the fact that they throw you in the deep end in mission 1. Bafford's Mansion should be more like mission 6 or 7 and don't get me started on the Thieves' Guild:eek:

I wouldn't call Bonehoard a difficult mission even on expert comparing to for example Ruins of Originia, which is very very difficult and boring and interesting. One of reasons why T1 is better than T2 are zombie missions, in T2 there's not even one.

If you count current run-throughs, then I'm a little over half way through The Sword in TDP (got lost and went to bed), and Trail of Blood in T2.

I recently started playing through T2 again. Right now I'm at Life of the Party and have already looted most of the particularly interesting places.

Bonehoard is noticeably easier in TG than in TDP. Zombies stay down longer and have a reduced awareness radius.
But yeah, I'll give you their horror element.

OK. Having troubles with the Thieves' Guild I can understand, to a degree. But it's no killjoy to me by any means.
But Bafford's? Bafford's is a hard place? On Hard difficulty?
Are you ironmanning it, or do you perchance enjoy entering by the front gate?
I'm behind the Barricades for the first time in many years, navigating Cathedral street, BTW.

I started Assassins the other day (maybe two weeks ago), and it's just a fantastic mission overall. For me, there are few quintessential Thief missions, but Assassins is doubtless one of them.
Eventually, I'll get around to finishing it, then I'll probably skip Thieves' Guild and go straight to The Sword (well, maybe). Wish I had more time :(

Well compare the first mission of T2 with Bafford's. It's short and sweet whereas the mansion is huge and there are about three areas that I can name that have noisy floor.Noisy floor in a first mission is really unthinkable.:nono:, not to mention at least fifty guards in the mansion too.
And no I'm not an FPS junkie I used the well as Garrett kept suggesting repeatedly :laff:

T3, Rutherford's Castle. Testing cyrillic fonts for Minimalist Project. :laff:
BTW, Bafford is not the first mission. It's second mission. ;)

Fifty guards in Bafford mansion? Maybe fifteen.

I didn't notice any difficulty difference in Bonehoard in TDP and TG. The only difference as far as I know halls of echoing repose textured differently.

Winter Cat, In Gold you can backstab zombies with your sword, and they'll lie on the ground until you come too close to awaken them. You also can push a lying zombie by throwing some object. In TDP you can't get rid of them this way -- they just stand up immediately.
